This is excellent news! I’m absolutely stoked! They’ll probably play Freak Scene, Raisans or Little Fury Things. Freak Scene might be out because he says "fuck" a couple of times.
March 29, 2005 at 8:34 am #108196My flight is booked. So, I guess I’m leaving on a jet plane.
March 29, 2005 at 9:08 am #108197I’m thinking I need to book a flight too.

March 29, 2005 at 5:07 pm #108200here is a thought: since J and most working musicians are about the future and not the past(unless yer an oldies/cover band of some sort)
i hope they work up a jam that comes together during their week of practice-maybe J or Lou have some lyrics lying around that they could work into a new tune. i for one would welcome something new from this grand old band

March 30, 2005 at 10:00 am #108203I doubt they’ll play a new song, even though its about the future, MOney is the main motivator for the reunion, and they did just reissue 3 old albums that need to be sold for more money, so there you go, anyway I’m hoping they play "THe Lung"
March 30, 2005 at 10:18 am #108204is there any way to record/archive this show for those of us who live across the pond ?

Just going to see some old pals play.
March 30, 2005 at 11:52 am #108206I can tape the show. I work in a stock footage library, so I can dub a copy for people and mail em out if you give me some money for tape stock and postage. I’m going to the taping too if i can get off work a little early. Do you guys want me to post what they play before it is aired or do you want to be surprised?

I’m positive they’ll play a classic dinosaur song. it’ll be good to see lou and j on stage again, but realistically i’m sure it is for the money. who can blame ’em? after seeing the pixies tour it’s a good way to make some cash…plus lou just had a baby and he’s practically begging people on is website to buy merch. nyhoo, it’ll be cool no matter what the reason. i can’t wait.

Lou basically said this in an interview late last year or early this year. Said something like, "I just had a baby and could use the extra income." Certainly can’t blame him for that and I’m just glad I’ll get a chance to see them.

Seems like you’re not too enthusiastic about this reunion thing… why, if I may ask?
