I noticed that meanfiddler.com updated the Reading/Leeds line-up today, after the Carling Stage announcements, and while Jimmy Eat World have been removed, Dinosaur Jr aren’t in their place… instead All American Rejects are added to the main stage at the bottom of the bill, with the rest shuffling up.

Well, at least dinosaurjr.com confirms the NME story is true. I would guess Dinosaur will take the "special guests" slot on Friday (Reading) or Saturday (Leeds) then? Strange that meanfiddler haven’t confirmed them yet.

According to dinosaurjr.com, both festivals are sold out already  :!: how come that big festivals like these can be sold out so long in advance? couldn’t they hire a bigger area?

the festivals were announced months ago, and tickets have been on sale for a long time now … the reading festival is always a sell-out, most likely due to its proximity to london :!: :D

i’ve never been to the leeds festival, but the reading festival ground is close to the centre of town … so it’s a fixed amount of space (unlike say, the many farming fields of glasto) and most of the ground is taken up with car parking and tents …

if you’re dying to go to the festival, i bet you’d be able to pick some up on ebay +/or on the day …

Rambleon, where do you live in England? I was just curious. I am from B’ham City, most of my family still lives over there.

Rambleon….I have been in the US since I was 6. But I grew up here mostly around English people too. We came here originally because my dad started coaching soccer/football for a summer in Chicago (he used to play for More Green) and they really liked the US. I guess they thought we’d be better off here, so they moved my 3 brothers and I to Florida a few months later.

But I will always be a Brummy :)
