I personally only want to see Dinosaur Jr reunite it all members are really into it.

      ‘personally’…’really’, huh?
how in hell are you going to find that out?
so, if one of the 3 isnt ‘really into’ it and they are still touring the world-i guess you wont be there :?:
damn-you are going to miss the very best in live music :!:

stanner, I don’t want to see J perform is he is only doing it becuase he is has been pressured (read anthony’s post on the first page of this thread). If someone is not into what they are doing it is going to come off as half-assed and since I’ve seen J five times I don’t want to see J perform and him not be into it. And by the way "I said I would certainly go if I could."

yeah I get the feeling that J is pretty pleased with the current fog lineup. He might be quite frustrated with Lou and Murph if they don’t completely have it together. But whatever, I know Lou will work hard to get it right just like he did in the past.

I’m sure all will be fine, Lou’s doing it for the Monay, so I’m sure he’ll understand that he has to STFU, and take his beatings from J

It’s true but it’d be a different thing if Lou totally hated the music or that period but he obviously recognizes how great they were and how good the songs still are

From the sounds of it, they’re going to do a few shows together. If that works out, they’ll probably do more. If not, at least they tried. I just want the chance to see them at least once.

when have those guys ever been "into it"? If they are completely unenthusiastic or even if they’re hating it it will be just like the old days.

                  I wanna see them fight.

Exactly. Nothing would change so it’d still be a kickass show one would hope.

Good quotes though from the article posted above:

"I’ve mellowed considerably," Barlow said. "I carried a lot of anger around after they kicked me out of the band. But I let a whole bunch of that go. It happened such a long time ago, that it just seemed pretty goofy to continue being angry at someone who kicked you out of their band when you were 22 years old.

And, this obviously based on the Fog shows last year:

"I saw J play live a couple of months ago, and he played old Dinosaur stuff and it just sounded great," Barlow said. "The guitar sound and the style that he was after back then, he’s still very capable of that. It’s just a matter of me and Murph keeping up with him.

Do ya’ll think that they will play just songs from the first 3 records or do ya’ll think Lou and Murph will learn the DinoJr stuff that they never played before? I assume the sets consist mostly of stuff from the first 3 records but I wonder how much may come from Green Mind forward.

They could do the wagon, I believe there is a version available where Lou plays bass on it.

I’m sure at first they’ll stick to the old stuff but it would be cool if Lou and J introduced some new songs.

confirmed on the Friday at Donnington. Can’t buy day tickets. really hope that they play elsewhere in UK, as I’m not particularly up for seeing Billy Idol, Feeder (he’s got a brand new car, looks like a jaguar – FUCK OFF), Garbage (perfectly apt name), Megadeth et al.

                            Is anyone going to this?

I was wondering this as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if they threw in a few of J’s solo stuff and a few of Lou’s songs here and there but imagine they’ll mostly stick with material from the first three albums.

First three albums only. If they have extra time they can do a marathon "Don’t."

I think it would be just as easy or easier to learn J’s newer songs than relearn some of the tracks on Bug. But that’s not the point.

come on somebody back me up on the Lou playing on the wagon. who played on the sub pop single version? if not that then I’m postive there’s a bootleg out there with it in their old set.
