Is there any proof the Donna Dretsch or Van Conner were in the band for a bit. I’ve heard this in articles but have never seen any proof. Anyone know the stories?

I don’t have "proof" about Van Conner being in the band, but I’ve seen photos of them playing together and I’m almost positive Conner was Dino’s bassist when the band played a New Years Eve show at Maxwell’s circa ’89-’90. I think he only played for a tour before Green Mind was released, as Mike Johnson was already in the band for the GM tour.

          Here http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/artist/artist_info.asp?id=136″>http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/artis … asp?id=136

it lists the band members at the bottom and under drums says "TBC." Does that mean that Murph isn’t onboard? Does this festival site just not have it right?

Not sure. The last time I saw Murph was a few years ago playing with Don Fleming. That was not to far after the Hellride East Tour. He seemed like he could do it but my friend says he has been getting messed up lately. So they may need his replacement in Dinosaur Jr. and in Evan Dando’ band George. But George and Lou never played together I don’t think. Maybe jammed back in the day but then it isn’t a real reunion. But I kind of missed George on the last Fog tour even though Spence was great and I think at this point unless he is now to messed up would be better than Murph. But Murph deserves the right.

confirmed on the Friday at Donnington. Can’t buy day tickets. really hope that they play elsewhere in UK, as I’m not particularly up for seeing Billy Idol, Feeder (he’s got a brand new car, looks like a jaguar – FUCK OFF), Garbage (perfectly apt name), Megadeth et al.

              Is anyone going to this?

I might. Do you have a date(too lazy to search for the donnington dates.)

The reunion has to include Murph. Mr. Berz is not an option. He is an extremely boring drummer not to mention Murph plays way harder. I am actually more excited to see Murph again then I am Lou. It should be wonderful though.

You are crazy. George is a much better drummer and thats why he replaced Murph. And Murph has been doing a little too much H last I heard but like I said George likes to party to.

What ? Murph on heroin ? Where did you get that ? Someone I know who toured with the Lemonheads in 1996 told me that Murph is one of the most straight edge people… well, that´s 10 almost years ago now. I always imagined Murph working in a computer company or whatsoever
