I’m suspicious of this because I doubt that J and Lou and Murph will have enough time to get together and practice and get things tight by then, but who knows,

yeah I guess J will know the songs. I’m sure Murph will too. Practicing has never been a big issue for the band. I remember reading how they never practiced because Mike Johnson lived on the other side of the country. I think as long as someone can keep the beat J will play
J’s played at the last couple SXSW, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all
Your right about that practice thing, think I remember an article awhile back, where J said he didn’t like to practice cause it cost to much…

scan anybody confirm this???? if they are for sure playing, then i WILL be there. but it’s a 4 hour drive so I’m not making the trek unless they are. can ANYBODY confirm this???
if you can afford going, you should do yourself a favor and go, even if they don’t play, lou is playing and a million other bands as well. do a search.
i’m broke man. i can only afford to waste my money on this if dino is playing! well then it won’t be a waste. but you know what i mean. did you get this info from a reliable source.

On the Merge bulletin board someone specifically asked about Dinosaur Jr & the answer was no. On a Swervedriver forum someone said J Mascis would perform a couple songs with Lou at SXSW…although no link to the info source was given. Hopefully we get some sort of confirmation but …

And it is indeed indeed a Merge band. A very popular one at that. Not Dinosaur Jr though, and not the Arcade Fire. But you are so close. ‘‘Latest on the Dino reunion: Apparently J & Lou are doing 2 songs together at the end of Spoon’s set at the Merge at SXSW In case you fellers wanted to know.’
