Hi Guys —
Not trying to be all pretentious or anything, but did anyone find it significant that they played "The Wagon" last night? AFter all, it was the FIRST post-Barlow release by the band, so it seemed to be a definitive, hatchet-burying gesture to me. I mean, out of ALL the post=Barlow songs to play . . . .

They played it at Baltimore too. I was like whoa, but it was neat.
August 31, 2006 at 4:59 pm #121031Not much to add, other than to say they played really well, though J’s demeanor was understandably more subdued than in Brooklyn (he was totally energetic that night). It didn’t affect the power or extensiveness of his soloing one bit, though. It was probably the loudest Dino/J show I’ve witnessed, out of probably close to two dozen at this point. And the crowd was bang into it — you could tell by the noise between songs. Just because people aren’t bashing around doesn’t mean they’re not digging it. Can’t wait till they tour again, and having seen these excellent shows is enough to stop my bitching about the missing DVD……for now……..

They’ve been playing it for awhile, think Lou said it was one of his fav songs off Green Mind…or something like that.
Thanks for the pics, looking forward to the video…
August 31, 2006 at 6:17 pm #121033oh yeah…and J was wearing the Kermit sneakers
August 31, 2006 at 6:50 pm #121034Could you upload that to http://www.freesofree.net ? That’d be a nice addition to the ‘library’. If you don’t have an account, you can send it to me sometime, and I’ll upload it.
Oh- I recorded the whole show digitally (audio) – that’ll get uploaded to the same website soon.

August 31, 2006 at 11:34 pm #121035upload the Just Like Heaven vid i took? id be glad too if someone can guide me thru it..
audio actually is not bad..the picture is good, only somewhat dark…whenever i take vids with my camera, they appear dark when i trasnfer them to my PC….same thing happened with a vid i took of Witch a few weeks back…when i plug the camera into my TV and watch them like that, they look a lot better
September 1, 2006 at 10:07 pm #121036Yeah, this show was great. I was surprised that the crowd wasn’t moving more, but people were definitely into it, especially by the encore. They were pretty subdued (undersatandably) but it was just so cool to see DInosaur again after so many years. Can’t wait to see them again! Thanks for the pics.

September 2, 2006 at 1:49 pm #121039are the guys still playing mostly from the 1st three albums?
… and if so, any idea how long that’s going to last?

Yep.
As far as how long that will last, I assume that if they feel like the album is coming along well they likely won’t tour again until it’s finished and released, at which point they’ll probably drop about a half-dozen old songs and replace them with new ones. If we haven’t heard certain cuts like Keep the Glove and Let It Ride and They Always Come by now, we’re never going to hear them. It’s strange that No Bones is so infrequently played, though, along with Yeah We Know. If they bothered to learn them, and to play them well, why only bust out with them a few times?
Frankly, though, while I’m *theoretically* tired of hearing the same songs over and over, I was still loving every minute of it seeing them this week.
