speaking of the smiths, bigmouth strikes again is a really fun song to cover.
October 1, 2007 at 9:09 pm #121058i read that the soundhole pickups are resistant to feedback. but i wonder if theyre resistant to a fuzzbox…
November 5, 2007 at 7:44 pm #121059So, what happend?
November 5, 2007 at 8:25 pm #121060Oh yeah, so nothing has happened yet. Apparently their CD has been pushed back a bit. I just saw one of their shows on Saturday and I think they are getting close. I think its too late to book it for this month so I’m hoping we’ll get a date in December sometime. As soon as something happens I’ll let you guys know.

March 22, 2008 at 1:41 pm #121066How did it go? Did you melt their faces off?
March 22, 2008 at 3:43 pm #121067Usually when you play an acoustic set, the goal isn’t to melt people’s faces off.
March 22, 2008 at 4:16 pm #121068I guess you’ve never seen J Mascis live acoustic/electric before.

March 26, 2008 at 12:18 pm #121071The set went good, better than expected. Lots of applause in between songs.
I’ve already had offers to do more shows, we’ll see.
No face melting solo’s but the distortion and wah sounded great. People looked shocked to hear what was coming out of an acoustic guitar. Clearly most of them hadn’t witnessed J’s magic. Hopefully I did it justice.
Hopefully next time there will be a bootleg I can post over at freesofree.
The only known pic is on my myspace page.
