Thanks for the info Spaceboy!
Problem with FAME is the horrific prices they dare to ask, I ordered my copy at CDnow, but I’m going to check some of the more decent-priced shops in Amsterdam (Get or Concerto) tomorrow, like I said a while ago, it’s a great gift to give to people who like good music and don’t know Dinosaur Jr. (it’s hard to imagine, but those people exist…..)

Went to FAME this morning, they had sold their only copy to some guy who was willing to pay 60 guilders for it….

The guy at Get records was expecting an European release in a couple of weeks time, so he advised against ordering a US import copy (very expensive indeed), well I am waiting for my copy from CDnow to arrive….

I suddenly realised I could do a review of Earbleeding in my schools newspaper. I mean, after all I’m the head gonzo in the music department there so…. Felt kinda dumb, since I didn’t think of this right away. After all, besides getting tons of free cd’s, one of the big advantages of this position is being able to shamelessly plug artists you love.

I do that on my school paper, I wrote an article about a club in DC (near the school) and while listing bands that play there I mentioned J and the Fog, and people were like ‘who the hell is that?!’ Whenever the new J album comes out, i’ll make sure that its the focus of our entertainment page.

Hey Screaming Tree,

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you…whos J Mascis…
You could always put the address to freakscene in your article for that paper, people could check out all the videos, concert links etc…may help with conversion attempts.
