hey guys, i need your opinion about this :
i sold a bag on ebay and a chick bought it to me.
i got ehr check and i put it on my bank account.
then i went to post the bag.
i have a paper from the post which can prove it.
the package had a tracking number.
the girl e-mailed me and said she hasn’t received it…
but the post tracking say that it was delivered to her place (we do not have her signature to prove it but the attestation of the post office).
she is calling me and e-mailng me and i think she expects me to give her money back.
after all, she could be lying and maybe she received it, as the post office says ?
what would you guys do ?would you :
– send back the money ?
– send back half the money ?
– fuck her ! i can prove i sent it.oh i forgot to say that she asked for it to be delivered at her work and that the mail does not arrive directly to her.
so it can be the post’s fault, but also it can have been stolen where she works ??
even if she says it never happened before and blah blah blah my assFebruary 25, 2004 at 1:11 pm #99487ugh, what a very unpleasant situation!
what do the mail folks say about what to do in such a case? I guess they have these kind of things daily…
February 25, 2004 at 1:12 pm #99488Hmmm, that’s a tough one… She’s lying? Maybe. Send the bag to her work? It’s so easy to scam, sometimes. What do you want to do?
–Well, it wasn’t the post who lost it. Was the package insured?
–Is there a no-responsibility clause for stuff lost or stolen between byers and sellers from e-bay?
–Technically, she’s supposed to have received the bag–since there was a signature.
February 25, 2004 at 1:16 pm #99489Since you can prove that you sent it, don’t you have some sort of insurance deal with the post office? That they will cover your loss, in this case give you money for the bag? (or at least refund part of what the bag cost.)
That’s the case here in norway at least.February 25, 2004 at 1:29 pm #99490there was not insurance for the package and the problem is that the post does not recognise the lost.
they said it has been delivered.i just e-mailed ebay and i hope thye will tell me to tell her to f*ck off
February 25, 2004 at 1:42 pm #99491since it seems you did everything right.. I say sue her for the psychological trauma she caused and then tell her to f*ck off
February 25, 2004 at 1:44 pm #99492Yeah, if the post says it has been delivered, she can’t blame you. Even if she’s gotten the package or not. So I would just tell her that the postoffice says they’ve delivered it, and that there’s nothing you can do.
And then put her on IGNORE mode.February 25, 2004 at 1:51 pm #99493Once I borrowed a cd from the library and returned it and then they call me a few days later saying that the cd is`nt in the case
I told them I was sure it was in the case when I returned it;they made me feel like I stole it
c`mon, how many people are stealing Louis Armstrong cd`s?
February 25, 2004 at 2:18 pm #99494i guess i should prepare myself to lose my negative feedback virginity… and as soon a si feel ready, i’ll tell her to fuck off !
February 25, 2004 at 3:09 pm #99495that sounds like a good plan!
February 25, 2004 at 3:32 pm #99496That negative feedback your expecting should be with an * beside it as you have proof you actually sent it, not your fault she didn’t receive it. If you fax/mail her the proof of you sending it & she continues giving you the business…definitely the time to tell her to hit the road face down

SG, librarians always make me feel guilty, don’t know why

The insurance thing when buying is a good idea if its an expensive item. Whenever I’ve purchased expensive stuff it was my option as the buyer to insure the package for the value of the item. The seller usually listed a couple prices, with & without insurance that I had a choice of paying or not. Luckily I only had a problem once with a delivery, my wind up robot Conky never made it here, guy said he sent it, I didn’t insure it…
February 25, 2004 at 6:30 pm #99497Situation is quite simple IMHO:
1. You have proof that you sent the package
2. You have proof that the package arrived at the adress that she wanted itThat covers your side of the deal, the problem is hers, like CG said: fax or send a copy of the proof to her, and tell her to sort things out at her end….
February 26, 2004 at 7:26 am #99498also, if/when she gives you negative feedback, i think you can post your reply explaining your side of the story …
it’s a unfortunate situation more than anything, but if this is your only negative bit of feedback i wouldn’t stress about it too much …
like den buck said – you have the proof …
maybe in the future you should strongly suggest that your buyers opt for insurance as well ?
anyhow … good luck + let us know what happens …
February 26, 2004 at 2:15 pm #99499thanks guys !

so i will send her the copies of my proof.
and she will do whatever she wants !
