Could someone please tell me What is a blog? I mean I just don’t get it, is it an online diary of sorts? Is it a bulletin board, like this? My good friend Kevin came over yesterday and said "you know what we should do for the new year steffie"
"We should become bloggers and start blogging? "Kev, What’s a blogger?I said.
"The hell if I know, was his answer"January 3, 2005 at 7:44 am #106790from wikipedia.com:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlogQuote:A weblog, Web log or simply a blog, is a web application which contains periodic, reverse chronologically ordered posts on a common webpage. Such a Web site would typically be accessible to any Internet user. The term "blog" came into common use as a way of avoiding confusion with the term server log.January 3, 2005 at 7:56 am #106791"anthony" wrote:is a web application which contains periodic, reverse chronologically ordered posts on a common webpage. So would "Freak Scene" be considered a blog? This term is like the now buzzword on NPR and in general conversation and I just can’t wrap my mind around the idea.

http://www.wordpress.orgJanuary 3, 2005 at 9:48 am #106793Thanks Anthony, at blogger.com I started to get the idea but I still have trouble understanding why, ummm, how do I put it, who would read them, who would want to, and how to find specific information in them. I mean even a J blog could get boring after a while. I think it will dawn on me sooner or later. Like in 1993, I started seeing guys walking around town with their pants falling down (usually a member of the african race)
first I saw one then another and I felt sorry for them, I thought their parents didn’t have the money for proper britches and they were being forced to wear hand me downs. In late 1994, I went to a lecture at the University of Georgia and I kept seeing boy after boy come in with pants hanging down and underwear sticking out, "What is wearing the wrong size pants like a fashion statement or something" I asked the guy sitting next to me.
I sat in disbelief, when he said "yeah" I had been seeing this for over a year and it took forever to figure it out. Thanks again.January 3, 2005 at 1:28 pm #106794A J blog could be called ‘thought of the blog today’

January 9, 2005 at 5:52 pm #106796I’m writing a short story about a stalker from California that moves to NJ to stalk a girl who’s blogs he read on the internet
January 10, 2005 at 11:07 am #106797in most of the cases, blogs definitely have journal/diary character.
I remember that malcom had a cool & interesting blog before he decided to turn it into a private blog, only for the folks on his buddy list.…this is how a J blog could look like (don’t ask if it’s real, I don’t know…)
January 10, 2005 at 3:10 pm #106798I’m not sure, but I suspect that that may not be the real J Mascis.

I have a blog… Most of it’s public too. Not that it’s worth reading, and I only update it once in a while. Here it go.
(By the way, I am on Malcom’s friends list for his journal… He’s gone crazy with that digital camera of his.)
