exchange students have interesting friends!

Hey……………this is the time of year when we need families to help with exchange students.
The organization that I am connected with is called the Foundation For Academic Cultural Exchange.
They are based in Florida. Right now they have about 18 children who still need to be placed.
The preference is to place the child with a couple……….you do not need to be married but if you are not married they ask that you have some history together……..at least 3 or 4 years. Neither parent can have a criminal record.
A big dose of good karma is what you get in return and also a child who will forever be grateful to you.

I know many folks here at Freakscene are not exchange parent material but many of you are. The children who are still left come from Japan, Korea, China, Germany. We have hosted twice and the blessings are huge. The student can share a bedroom with a same sex child……….so you do not need to have an extra bedroom. If you can’t host but know someone who may be interested talk to them. Just e-mail me or PM me. I am not really expecting to find anyone here but I try and throw hooks out anywhere I can. I found homes for four children last year………that’s my record.

Modify……..just in case……someone asked me this yesterday…….."How much do you get paid to do this?" answer: 0
students do come with money for everything they need..school lunch, books, movies, clothes, on and on.
