Aw man, they missed two of my favorites:

              – The $125 million "whoopsie" NASA pulled by mixing English and metric measurement units resulting in a trajectory miscalculation of a Mars orbiter. That things probably still going….

              – The 1940 Tacoma Narrows Bridge disaster. A virtual physics lesson on standing waves. You gotta see the pics to believe it. http://www.ketchum.org/bridgecollapse.html”>http://www.ketchum.org/bridgecollapse.html

I go over this bridge frequently as I live 5 minutes from it. Yeah the original bridge design was horrible. The newer one is much better. They are in the process now of building a second one right next to it, so by I think the end of next year there will be 2 Tacoma Narrows Bridges. The old bridge will serve West bound traffic and the new bridge will serve East bound traffic and have a $3.00 toll.

I really did think we’d end up with 12 planets not 8. Bunch of articles I’ve read recently had me confident Pluto would survive…not the case :(
