Jaron feels my pain. Especially because I’m a Penn State fan. Watched Pitt more here than in Pittsburgh. Strange, but PSU is on ESPN this week…

September 13, 2002 at 10:27 pm #81738Far as college, Notre Dame vs. Michigan this week. I live close to ND. Not a big fan, but I like the ethic of Tyrone Willingham. No prematch rah rah speeches to the press, let’s play ball/ Now if the offense can score a point or too….
Illinois supposedly has two top flight Qb’s and so far they are 0-2 I think. Perhaps they need to make a change.
Is Miami for real again?
Who is everyone’s Cinderella in college this year?
I hope BEARS show up as well. They better cuz Vick looked good against the Pack and I think Reeves is giving him the green light like McNabb has with the Eagles. Not good for Chi-town.
Sux about Men of Steel. Felt bad for the Cowboys but SCREW Jerry Jones! Sorry, Tom, he does remind me of the Mcaskeys of the BEARS way too much. Hope they take this one and just blow up on whoever they play next. Would like their Div to live up to its potential.

September 14, 2002 at 12:02 am #81739my observations:
#1. half-man and vanilla frankfurter are delusional. i’d like to know just how they’ve come to the conclusion that the pack is in decline? let the record show that over the last three seasons, they have improved from 8-8 (1999)->9-7 (2000)->12-4 (2001) (and played in the n.f.c. championship game)…now, in what way are they in decline? huh? huh? huh?
favre is better than ever, the new crew of receivers is deceivingly talented, ahman green is a stallion and the veteran defense will more than hold their own.
#2. mike vick is an animal. the guy’s a freaking greased chicken with a bionic arm! he’s quick, strong, accurate…the whole package. heck, he even faked me out of my jock a couple times last sunday, and i was just watchin’ from home. the falcons are gonna give people problems this year. count on it.
#3. no matter how good their d is, da bears ain’t goin’ nowhere as long as jimmy miller is their q.b. thems the facts. sorry. not really.
#4. don’t count out the pats.
pop quiz: which team, in 2001, handed "da bears" two of their three losses? *hee-hee*

September 14, 2002 at 12:39 am #81740First of all welcome back Dude
Next, I am not placing my opins on much, must admit. But, the receiving corps IS young. Green is the best in a long series of good running backs GB has had, I think. However, I think the D is going to be make or break for the team. Speed kills and they ain’t got it. Granted, got some lumberers with the Bears, but the speed makes up for it. The Pack has some hassle there, especially against the run.
With you on Vick. Bears D will have to be better than last week and better then GB last week cuz, as you said, not sure Miller can do what Favredid.
Favre is STILL the QB to have on your side.
Far as your pop quiz, your rotters did what they have to prove all over again this year. So go smoke some cheddar, and save a piece of Lambeau turf to go with the Cham-PAIN!

September 14, 2002 at 4:13 pm #81741Tom your post made perfect sense, appreciate you taking the time to respond Was completely shocked with that outcome, have felt that pain…hope they come back with a vengence this week. Shame about jj…he sucks
Jim Miller threw for almost 300 yards last week, nice to see shoop actually letting the qb’s do what they’re supposed to…open up the field of play, mixing it up out there. We have a very talented crew of receivers in Booker, White, Robinson and at times David Terrell Matthews in Washington was absolutely incredible last week, amazing what happens when the oc actually lets them throw. Shoop better keep up the aggressive mix it up kind of play calling that we’ve seen occasionally…or else my shoop voodoo doll will come into play
Buchanans out for the falcons this week, dumb ass got caught in that same supplement thing Miller did awhile ago…how people let that happen to them I just don’t know. You can’t trust supplement companies to be honest Hoping our D has taken a look at last weeks game, hope their emBEARassed, pissed and ready for some action!!!
Undude so nice to see you Atlanta always seems to give you guys a hard time, they beat you last year right, was that in green bay?
Go BEARS Go

September 15, 2002 at 8:50 pm #81744i don’t know what makes me sicker…the pack’s total ineptitude on turf, or the bear’s seemingly endless supply of luck.
i hope a large, phallic golf trophy falls on yer head this week, valenturd frickenfrack…no, really.
