Exactly

Just found out my local cable company will be offering NFL Ticket again this year, was getting nervous had a couple contingency plans but won’t need them now…

Strange thing about nfl.com field pass subscription service, I was unable to access streamed content at all thru my 1st week of their service, when I cancelled the service I was able to access all the content

August 18, 2003 at 11:02 am #93995Enough said? We’re coming for #2 starting 8/30/03

Watching a lot of preseason…can’t wait for the real deal
August 18, 2003 at 1:59 pm #93996Kelly H as Clevelands starting qb, Couch is a wicked back up
Shame about Michael Vick breaking his leg, this was the year he was going to throw more & cut back on the runs….hopefully in six or seven weeks he’ll be back. he’s great to watch out there
August 18, 2003 at 9:26 pm #93997agreed about vick, allison, truly a bummer. he is very exciting to watch. the stillers are off to a rather uneventful preseason (0-2) so far, but i don’t put much stock in the preseason anyway. personally, i was hoping the staff would give charlie batch more of a chance to compete for the starting QB job here, i’ve never really had a whole lot of faith in tommy maddox, but time will tell. how is kordell looking so far this year…is he a lock for the starting job, or does he have some competion? i really hope he does have success in chicago, he pretty much got a bum rap here in the ‘burgh…..
August 19, 2003 at 11:32 am #93998Just saw a live press conference with Michael Vick, so far so good the bone remains in proper alignment, hopefully it stays that way so he won’t require surgery! He wore ankle braces for the 1st time that nite, says he thinks they may have saved him from a more severe injury. Out at least eight weeks, says he won’t rush it, wants to be 100%. Really is a shame, all the talk was this would be his best season, hope he comes back & makes up for lost time!
Kordell had a lock on the starters job before he was signed, we really don’t have anyone else to compete…Chris Chandler, Rex Grossman (R) & Corey Sauter. He’s doing alright thru preseason, had some good throws & runs/escapes from opposing defenses breaking thru our line
Our OC shoop remains a problem, he continues to use the screen play to death, 3rd & long lets throw it for three & pray we can run the rest even thou it hasn’t worked thru the last three seasons…
Hopefully he gets fired 3 games into the season
Grossmans looked good, he’s said theres no way he’ll throw for less than 1st down yardage on 3rd & long… :aliensmile:Rumor out there that the BEARS might pick up Deuce Staley

Good luck with Maddox, think theres a televised Stillers game coming up, looking forward to it
August 20, 2003 at 12:32 am #93999I heard that rumor about the Bears getting Staley.. That would be a HUGE pick up for them. Maybe even to give A-Train the kick in the ass he so needs. Wow, what a one two puch in the backfield if it comes to fruition.
As for getting fired 3 games into the season, expect something. Especially if the Bears are looking a bit lack luster. Jauron is not the GM’s hire, and is probably trigger happy. Which is to be expected after a 12 loss season.
Carl.
August 20, 2003 at 10:39 am #94000We gave away big Ted Washington to the Patriots for a fourth round draft pick next year
Get absolutely nothing for him this year, except some cap space, hopefully for Staley who I agree would make a huge impact on The BEARS! Washington will be missed, 375lb monster, we went 13-3 with him, last year after he was injured we lost 12 games. We don’t have the depth on our line to give up someone like him
Rumor out there A Train may get traded, he’s not producing & A Peterson is, I’m all for giving A Train another year to get it done. If it doesn’t happen get rid of him!
Another rumor is that we are looking to pick up Warren Sapp next year, sounds like Tampa doesn’t want him around after this year…

There could be some surprise cuts on our D soon

All for huge changes in our management staff, just hoping this season isn’t a wash so that can happen…conspiracy theorists out there suspect Angelo of that

Gilbert Brown of the packers will attempt to play with his torn bicep muscle
August 25, 2003 at 1:23 pm #94001I keep telling myself its just preseason, but, we’re not looking so good

Our o line can’t open up any lanes or protect the qb, Kordell was sacked 5 times on Saturday

RW continues to play soft, rumor out there he may be released, god knows who would replace him though

We did throw a bit though which was nice, David The Mouth Terrell continues to talk more than he produces good plays on the field. He caught a td, immediately celebrated by punting the ball into the crowd, he didn’t notice he was flagged for interference, 15 yrd penalty & minus one td
He also dropped more than a few really good passes, couple more silly penalties…not sure he should stay around much longer! Saw an interview with him on Chicago news, he just doesn’t get it…you have to back up all your talk at some point

Patriots on Wednesday, get to meet Colvin & Washington

Couple more qb’s down, Griese out with torn liagament in his toe

Pennington from the Jets out for at least 12 weeks, lucky it wasn’t his throwing wrist but still

40 yr old Testaverde replaces him
September 2, 2003 at 1:35 pm #94002Season only daze away…super bowl predicts anyone???
I’ve got the Steelers and the Bears in the Kordell Bowl.
Stillers overcome Joey Porter’s shot in the arse and flurish with Kordell off the roster, while da Bears presented by whoever
, use the refurnished magic of Soilder Field and lots of luck to weave through the NFC.Can’t wait for the maddness…
September 2, 2003 at 1:45 pm #94003shot in the ass cheak! what a bummer. heh.
i’ll take the steelers and the iggles in the pennsylvania bowl. stillerz 123, iggles 2.

LOL

Can’t wait, I’m definitely ready for some football…although I’m not ready for britney spears & a zombified aerosmith opening the season

BEARS all the way for the superbowl…off my meds obviously

Rumor out there Lawyer Malloy may become a BEAR

Rex Tucker gone for the season…again
Columbo’s not ready for prime time either, rumor out there they may bring back Big Cat. Another player had to give up #71 so….fingers crossed!Kordells still a wild card, he had some good plays in our last preseason game. Chicago press are just waiting to crucify him & start a qb controversy with our rookie qb

Shame about that shot to the butt…gotta hurt. Hope it doesn’t hurt his ability to run/play!
BEARS will kill the 49er’s this Sunday….
September 8, 2003 at 12:27 pm #94005OUCH, we didn’t exactly kill them

It’s going to be a long season, can we give kordell back..21.9 qb rating

lots of other blow outs yesterday, pats didn’t score at all, packers lost to vikings…
September 8, 2003 at 2:09 pm #94006allison…i feel yer pain, sister……gotta give kordell more than one game to prove himself though, but man, those were some ugly stats! on a happier note, my stillers shut rayray lewis and his band of thugs up pretty good, and looked good doing it. stillers played a solid game all around, other than dewayne washington taking 62 penalty yards for interference on one drive (resulting in the ravens first score….)
