i was actually in balt for that game. so excited for this season, stillers will be fun team, at least.
big game tonight. i predict eagle redemption!
September 8, 2003 at 4:18 pm #94008Valetine,
I was sorry to hear about you Bears. The North is going to be easy to win this year, so it won’t take much to be competetive there. The Packers are on the way down, the Viking D is better, but still weak, and the Lions are the Lions!
I know it may sound like throwing in the towel early, but if this keep up, the Bears might want to play for a draft pick.
I know how you feel, being a Cowboy fan. I think the absolute best Dallas could do this year is 8-8. More then likely, they’ll be a 6-10 or 7-9 team. I’d rather have them go 4-12 and get an impact player in the draft.
Dallas completely outplayed the Vickless Falcons for the entire first half. Statistically Dallas had a better game, but they proved its going to be a long year in the second half.
Bets of luck with your Bears!Tom
Wireland & Gods Sunshine,
The Steelers should be able to win their league this year, barring any major injuries. I didn’t get a chance to see the game, but they kicked the Ravens a–. I believe they have Cinnci and Cleveland in their league, which are both improving, but still no threat. The Steelers D needs to improve against the pass, and they’ll make some noise in the playoffs.
Good luck with your Steelers,
TomSeptember 8, 2003 at 4:33 pm #94009Appreciate that Tom, still shocked with just how bad we played, our offensive line was truly offensive, the D was MIA

Hopefully The Tuna can work his magic over the next couple years with you guys!
Best of luck to your Cowboys!
I’m hoping things get better, will try & take Wirelands advice about Kordell, give him a chance to redeem himself. Silver lining to this is jaron & shoop will probably get fired, I wouldn’t mind if our gm angelo was shown the door as well, fingers crossed in a sooner rather than later way

I picked the Eagles as well for tonites game, just can’t stand the bucs
September 8, 2003 at 11:49 pm #94010But DAMN, did the Bucs look impressive tonight. They made the Eagles look horrible. Are they Eagles that bad?? or was the Defence of Tampa that good…
Carl.
September 9, 2003 at 7:23 pm #94011word is that kurt warner is benched for the coming week, sure glad i passed on him in my fantasy draft…..
btw, does anyone feel like having a weekly "pick em" contest?…no point spreads or anything, just pick the winners, we’ll see who has the best winning % at the end of the year. any takers, just post on here and i’ll put the upcoming schedule for the week up…..
September 9, 2003 at 11:22 pm #94012Warner is not starting for the Rams this week. Martz has said as much. But again, Martz is not a genius. How could he keep Warner in the game when Warner obviously did not have it. Martz learned after the game it was a concussion, so I am not faulting Martz for that. If I were a Rams fan (I was until that bitch moved them) I would blame Martz for not pulling Warner after the 3rd or 4th fumble.
as for the picks, I would be game. I enjoy getting my game picking skill shanded to me. That way I am not tempted to open an online betting account.
Carl.
September 10, 2003 at 2:55 pm #94013I was shocked they didn’t pull warner in that game, Martz said later that it seemed like Warner didn’t understand the plays…well, maybe they should have had a dr look at him

I’m in for the pick em deal, should be fun
September 11, 2003 at 10:44 am #94014count me in
September 11, 2003 at 1:39 pm #94015I’m kinda hoping a non football fan will join the pick em deal, see how well random picks do versus football fan picks…
:aliensmile:I am terrible, I just can’t pick against the BEARS no matter what

Should be fun, great idea Wireland

We could give the winner a custom title at the end of the season
