Rosa-I sent a Flat Duo Jets tune out yesterday to everyone in our group on audiogalaxy.
I did`nt know you liked the Allman Brothers,I have a old tape of the Filmore album, they covered alot of ground in their music too;Blues, jazz, country.I got into them after hearing them on a blues show that used to be on the classic rock station;they played alot of diffrent stuff, not just blues but everything related to the blues. They used to play BB King,Etta James,Wanda Jackson,Charlie Parker,Jerry Lee Lewis,Muddy Waters,Johnny Winter,Tom Waits,Elvis Presley,Aretha Franklin,The Animals,Savoy Brown,Buddy Guy,John Mayall,Sonny Burgess,John Lee Hooker,Sonny Rollins,James Brown,Jackie Wilson,Lee Dorsey,Stevie Ray Vaughan,Albert King,Miles Davis, etc. I was 15 years old and never really heard much outside of pop rock so it was weird hearing some of this stuff for the first time.

Hey Rosa,

Seems you agree with me about freuds spin on women in general…yikes kinda scary. Actually had the misfortune to wake up to that ridiculous show the view the other day One of those women was spewing this freudian crap about why females like sports…OMFG somebody save me!!!! She actually said that the only reason women watch/play sports is to please our dads/men in our lives…YEAH RIGHT. Related that its due to our unresolved oedipal complex, unbelievable to hear a woman actually say something like that…crap I tell you!!! Oh yeah, freud was on crack

Very cool lists so far, will be tallying up the deal friday sometime. Hopefully the final product will be something we can all be comfortable with versus the spin deal

Allison-that View show has some screwed up views on things so don`t let it get to you.Yesterday I sent a Versus song to you on AG,the woman in that band loves football(she`s a Cowboys fan )I doubt she`s into football to please her dad or boyfriend.

what does it mean if you’re a guy and hate sports, especially football? am i trying to please my mother? in fact, though, my mom likes sports more than my dad.

Thanks for the sentiment, I shouldn’t let that kinda thing get to me…makes no sense at all But its 2002 and to have a woman put out that kinda crap Basically saying women cannot have any kind of independent thought because subconciously we are being directed by our desire to please our men

Den Buck did you want The Cramps to be number one or ten?

Sorry for answering a little late, but I have been quite busy the last couple of days (working, seeing an excellent Ryan Adams gig, having a very nice party with a couple of nice friends on thursday, preparing for the annual carnival with a lot of beer tonight etc. etc. etc.)

I had the flu twice last year, very bad stuff.hope I don`t get it this year.
Hope you get better soon

Thanks for the anti flu sentiments, it definitely sucks!!! when they offered the flu shot they pointed out that last year people who took the shot got this ocular/respiratory virus, it lasted a couple weeks..basically really bad pink eye and congested lungs
Needless to say I said no thanks, so actually a couple days doesn’t seem all that bad….trying hard to look at the bright side:rolleyes:

Will tally up the points and get them up today
