This album could not have come at a better point in time. I went to the show at the Roxy in Hollywood just a few weeks back and said hello to J. The show was cool and they did a few electric songs. New ones from this new album. It was so kick ass! Anyway, speaking of fans, I think I did, in fact, witness J’s biggest fan ever at that Roxy show. She was sitting on the stage, meditating to every song, singing every word, doing special little dances, doing extreme air guitar and whatnot. Very entertaining I must say. In fact, I think after a while, most of the audience was watching her more than J and Watt. If I were J, I would have had a major bone to pick with her. Anyway, getting off the topic….my point is, I was in this shitty job that I didn’t love and I’d been there for almost 4 years. My boss was unappreciative, verbally abusive, demeaning and all the rest. After three and a half years, I told him exactly what was on my mind. And I quit. I went on unemployment and after the New Year I’ll be making a career shift. I never in a million years thought I’d quit a job where I make good money, without having a plan for the next gig. But to make a long story short, my sanity and my self esteem is worth so much more than a paycheck. But it was so symbolic. As I drove away from that job, on the last day, I put in my new J album and I’m driving down the road hearing him sing "It’s freedom…It’s freedooom." I actually got teary eyed because I know that feeling of breaking away now. I thinks its so funny that I bought this album with all these songs about freedom, about 3 days after all this crap went down at the j-o-b. Sorry for the long story, but I had to tell y’all about it. YOu can email me at evaki1972@yahoo.com to respond if you want, since I rarely ever tap on to the site anymore.

hey Shade, hope you’ll return once to see this post… :? :)

I’m glad to hear about your newly gained freedom :D  :P
yeah it’s risky to dump a save but unloved employment without having something else in sight – that takes a lot of courage (and frustration, too )

Thanks a lot for the pics of you & J we can see in the Photo Album of this site & thanks for your impressions of the Roxy show :D

I wish you all the best in your new job next year & hope to see you again often on this site

            "free so free" that SONG!

J, can’t believe how beautiful, how LOVELY, this music you create. How that tune can actually transform my mood into a state of sweet, pure, post-orgasmic-like bliss!

Personal feelings aside (everybody let’s me down?) I do hope that bofus joins you in playing these new tunes live. The two of you, losing your minds together with that incredible "say the word" solo ala "ammaring" style. Simply amazing it would be, I’m sure!

Can’t wait to hear these new tunes live – wherever – E NW W –

i’ll be hanging where eventually you’ll have to be 8)
