August 8, 2006 at 8:43 pm #120567haha, I don’t like playing the actual song but Killer Queen’s solo is rad.
August 13, 2006 at 11:06 am #120568blister in the sun by the violent femmes is a fun song to play. not hard or complex or anything. basic
August 13, 2006 at 1:23 pm #120569i think all melvins songs are fun and nirvana.
August 13, 2006 at 2:43 pm #120570Nirvana is like all power chords, though.

August 15, 2006 at 12:55 am #120572umm for someone to say that Nirvana is all power chords, do you know all the songs? I did at one point, they aren’t all power chords. Most of the songs are based around power chords, true….but not ALL. It’s almost like saying, all of J’s solos are just random notes that he makes up as he goes along. He doesn’t have a clue where he’s going so it’s easy to play a J style solo. That would be dumb to say.
I’m ranting about power chords……I’m shutting up now.

August 16, 2006 at 2:23 am #120574thank you. I had Bleach in mind for this one too.
I also hate it when people (metal heads mainly) try to tell me that Kurt sucked because of a song that was "only four chords" (Teen Spirit). I don’t think those people ever really got past the verse. Metal heads are a waste of time to talk to though, they are like the Honda Civic kids….they know it all and you can’t teahc them anything….they know more than anyone else. Of course they keep blowing up their cars…..or in this case, breaking crappy name brand gear. When will people learn its not all about names? Its not about, who can put the most notes in a solo, or who can write the most complex song. Look at Creep by Radiohead. Thats a friggin brilliant song and it’s like ….4 chords. The chords don’t change, put that song is from the era that everyone understood what I rant about.
August 16, 2006 at 5:32 am #120575i agree who cares if its a 1000 notes a second?as long as its fun and thats what people have forgotten about how to have fun.i think music is slowly coming back around again.i hate all this emo hardcore crap out today.that hardcore crap i know you guys have heard it they have a breakdown in the middle of a song and its just open open open open open open open open open open fuck that shit and they say nirvanas not talented?also where is there respect for 90s music not one damn band today {that ive heard}has even thanked one 90s band for impacting them?
August 16, 2006 at 8:55 am #120576:- Kurt wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t very great at all. like, not "12 Greatest Guitarplayer Ever" great.
August 16, 2006 at 10:39 am #120577I think he was actually in the top 20 at one point. Not for technical skills, but originality.

August 16, 2006 at 11:50 am #120579Back to topic, Pink Floyd has some fun ones to play that are pretty easy. Try Mother, or Wish You Were Here.
