cool.
you can also mount your gmail file storage in linux
if you use *nix, you can have a 1 gig extra drive and read your mail thru the shell.never heard of having to have w98 installed.
that’s like setting your home page to http://www.yahoo.com and telling people you get your internet from yahoo.

September 8, 2004 at 2:08 pm #104826hey jeremiah, it was me, who grabbed your invite
thanks a lot. I only clicked on the link to maybe find out more about the topic, then I tried to see if the invite was still free …and suddenly I was registered

now I have to look around for a good FAQ or something, to find out what I’ve got…
but anyway, thanks a lot

if you use *nix, you can have a 1 gig extra drive and read your mail thru the shell. You can even do this with windows now:
Quote:GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag’n’drop files to.
This is a great way to backup your important docs. The only downside is that it’s limited to 10MB per file (the GMail attachement limit). Hopefully future versions will break up large files, then upload.
