Its from ’99 to ’02 according to the serial and crafted in Japan. bought it second hand and its in immaculate condition – hardly touched! However, I’m not quite sure how all the pickup switches work! I also think theres some trouble with the tremelo lock.. Is it supposed to stop the arm from swinging or disable the floating? It does neither of these.. and also how do I know whether the lock is on or off?
and finally are there any jazzmaster/jaguar based forums or sites? Thanks in advance

Try the offset guitars forum, they are a treasure trove of information for Jazzmaster/Jaguar guitars.

You’ll know when the trem lock is working because you won’t be able to use the trem when its locked. Try pushing the trem down then slide the lock while it is down. This should lock the trem for you.

Play around with it to figure things out.

Have fun with your new toy and turn it up to 11! :D
