      Hi Guys,
      I need a bit of help. Me and my band are having a chance to play at Paradiso / Amsterdam, 16 th december. It will be the supportact of a famous dutch band "the Dijk", and it is completely sold out. There are about 20 bands nominated and my band ( BobRoss) is one of them. Listeners of the radiostation BNN have to decide wich band will perform.

      surf to http://www.bnn.nl and click on the picture of the singer of "de Dijk". The next screen will show you about 20 bands, you can listen to the songs if you want. Next thing to do is vote for BobRoss with the song "onderuit"

            I have two questions though…

            1. What’s a "Dijk"?

            2. Why are there two other bands with the same song as your’s on the site?

                    Thanks for the support. Cool bandname isn’t it. Last week I wrote a new song: Fluffy litlle clouds;-))

                    Questions:
                    Dijk = to prevent water coming in (holland is full of dikes;-))
                    The contest also was to give the best intepretation of Dijk-songs…

                    I’ll let you all know about the result…with your help it must be enough!!

                      HA! OK, a dike… I know what that is… but my tendency to pronounce things exactly how they’re <b>spelled</b> had me saying the ‘j’ in there.

                        Thanks for all the support. Unfortunately we didn’t win :( but it was great to see my freakscenefriends doing there best to get Hansione on the paradiso stage!!!
                        Ofcourse I went to see the winning band and….they were good. The same night I saw a fantastic gig by Jay Farrar and an awesome steelguitarplayer supporting him. Greg Trooper also played that night!
