I figure that I should come out of hiding long enough to wish two of our esteemed members a couple of very happy birthdays, today.
A big happy birthday to both Rosa and our fearless leader, Jeremiah. I hope that you both have wonderful days, today.
Sorry, a little late as well, happy birthday dear Leo’s, I was here a few days ago but it is so difficult to post these days (cough,cough) that I just tend to avoid it. However, this is one of my favorite times of the year, Lammas until the winter solstice, I love how the light becomes more yellow, (Leo color) the table is overflowing with gifts from the garden, we have laundry baskets full of peaches, we gave peaches away, made butter and jam and pies and smoothies and used the dehydrator, froze some, gave more and more peaches away and still we have them rotting on the ground by the hundreds, what a year, several of the branches became so heavy with fruit that they broke,……..
Lammas comes at the center point of Leo, and the middle space between Summer and Winter solstice. This is such a Leo time, the flowers are huge and show-offy, the food is overflowing, the air is warm and the nights are full of sweet smells, the male hummingbirds fight to get to the feeder so they can get beefed up to make the big trip further south, the children are looking forward to being back in school so they can network, show off their fashions and prove how smart they are….Leo, Leo, Leo……..On Mondays…I have a little "girl group" that I visit….we do you know girl things…talk alot….help each other figure stuff out. I have a friend there who also has a Leo husband like I do and often we spend several minutes talking up our Leo’s, how wonderful they are, how passionate they are, just how much in love we are with them….this morning she sent me this video, and yes, even with the corny Whitney soundtrack….I cried. Debra is a doctor with the CDC and is often away from her Leo, mine works out of town a quite a few months out of the year ………for everyone who has ever been in love with a Leo. Go ahead and get out your hankies.
