December 31, 2006 at 1:43 pm #124488Best wishes to all of you for 2007!!!!!!!!!!
…about three and a half hours to go over here, off to a party to do some old-fashioned dB style of DJ-ing…

be careful with all the fireworks, and have a good one!
December 31, 2006 at 3:51 pm #1244891 hour and 12 mins to go now… have a great new year everyone!
Going out to see some fireworks now, with my wife and some american friends… don’t expect to sober up before the day after tomorrow when it’s time to go to work again………
December 31, 2006 at 4:22 pm #124490Just about seven hours to go……..we have a tradition,we get together with a bunch of friends, we do a woodburning Japanese hot-tub, and we have lots of fireworks at mid-night……….most of us here dont drink like we did when we were younger (until no longer standing ) but we still drink enough, lots of good food!
Another tradition is Homemade Southern comfort………good whiskey mixed with Joel’s homemade peach wine.
Four years ago one of our friends got a little too drunk to early and got completly naked and started walking around the house chatting everyone up………I grabbed the first thing I could to throw around him and it was a skirt with elastic, he spent the rest of the night in that get-up. Two years ago one of the regulars fell down the porch steps taking the hand-rail with him……………..one of the children (the little aries boy who set off a roman candle in my house last year) looked at him as he was on the ground sort of moaning in the mud and said, in a perfectly dry voice "looks like that hurt huh?" I almost wet my pants, at 220 pounds and about six feet it took three guys to get him up and in the bed……………..
We pray for just a little too much cheese and cracker indulgence this evening.Happy New Year……..Everyone
December 31, 2006 at 9:33 pm #124491never been a big new years fan, but it’s hard not to look back and all is well in freaksceneland. We got are band back. Hope 2007 brings many shows and a new album and everyone here finds a magnitude of reasons to smile.

The hot tub was fun, this year it rained cats and dogs, I did the tub in the rain for only 10 mins.
The Joke of the year this year was Beyonce……………All the Dads started saying "Beyonce Good"
"Beyonce real Good" or my favorite "Beyonce is fergalisious". Or "I’d like to take Beyonce out for some chips and cheese"………how about "I would like Beyonce to come over and trim my tree next year" it was weird but so so fun, we had a Beyonce good time. How could you not like Beyonce.I was reading the rules again…..like the posting rules here at Freakscene, they go something like this.
You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, adult material.I thought about it and realized I had violated every single one of those rules over the past few years. You will not post material which is false (ha,ha) defamatory (oh, done that) inaccurate (Oh, good idea for 2007)
abusive (hmmmm, maybe not this one) vulgar (yup) hateful (think Sonic Youth) harassing ( I sort of harassed Sweeny but we have since made up) well, so you see on and on it goes. I was thinking of kicking myself off of the board but my love of this place has caused me to just try and be (cry) a better (tears flowing down) person (I, I can’t talk, wait, sniffle, sniffle)………………………………………………………..
in 2007……………I’m going to listen to more Sonic Youth, I’m just gonna shape up this year. I really am.Oh, and I had a SG dream the other night but I have to wait and tell you about it because we have a stinky diaper in the house and I can no longer think to type………….I must change that thing NOW.

So do the several grown men provide the bubbles in the hot tub?

I’m a natural rule breaker.
January 12, 2007 at 1:15 pm #124499Bubbles, no bubbles that I know of……….haven’t noticed any.
