in the same vein as the ‘i just saw, just bought, and just bought tickets for" threads. maybe discuss upcoming releases (or newly released titles). I was wondering if anyone has heard the new crooked fingers album?
January 22, 2003 at 3:12 pm #85333I have`nt heard the new Crooked Fingers album;maybe Den Buck has,he`s talked about them before here.I`m a big Archers Of Loaf fan though I have`nt followed Eric`s stuff as Crooked Fingers.
New albums I`m looking forward to by:
Bettie Serveert
Throwing Muses
Kristin Hersh
Yo La Tengo
White Stripes
Janet BeanJanuary 22, 2003 at 3:34 pm #85334I’m looking forward to a new Breeders album, ’cause we know how likely that is.

Um. . . Has anyone heard the new dischord box set, that’s about the only NEW album I’m looking at.
January 22, 2003 at 3:51 pm #85335I`ve heard that the Dischord set is really good from someone on a jazz board, the track listing looks good.

I’ve gotten over the horror of the last Bob Mould release Modulate (there were some good songs but…
), looking forward to his spring release Body Of Song. Supposed to have a real live drummer, rumor is it’s kinda like Workbook in sound/style
Apparently a tour will follow, with a full band…
Sewergrooves out of Sweden just released a single…gotta get a hold of that. Really want the Hellacopters new single where they cover Big Guns, haven’t been able to find it anywhere yet…still looking
The Iggy release featuring songs with The Asheton brothers sounds pretty damn exciting, no doubt it’ll be awhile but I can wait…just not very patiently

My dream release of 2003-Live J Mascis & The Fog with some Tribute To The Stooges tracks
Hey! I know it probably won’t happen but a girl can dream, keep her fingers crossed, pray to the planets…

More to come…
ps Javros a big Crooked Fingers fan as well

SparklehorseVF-the new Mould album sounds promising
I`m hoping on a J live album too,I`d also like to see a b sides/comp songs compilation someday;songs like Forget It and Hot Burrito No 2 are too good to be lost on cd singles
