Vic Chesnutt has a new album out
jazz guitarist Bill Frisell plays on it
(though he`s not your normal jazz guitarist, his eccentric playing would fit well with Chesnutt`s tunes)April 1, 2005 at 5:09 pm #85558"SG" wrote:Vic Chesnutt has a new album out

(though he`s not your normal jazz guitarist, his eccentric playing would fit well with Chesnutt`s tunes)…and with the legendary Van Dyke Parks on keyboards & accordeon you might expect some more eccentricities, but somehow the new Vic Chesnutt album ‘Ghetto Bells’ is probably his most coherent and intimate album to date, it’s great!!!!
April 1, 2005 at 6:40 pm #85559I was surprised Frisell was on it but he`s been doing more stuff in the alt singer/songwriter vein backing Laura Viers for example.Who knows who he`ll play with next.

I`m curious of how Soundgarden`s Blackhole Sun sounds swing style
I heard the Michael Jackson cover(The Way You Make Me Feel)which works perfect as swing.June 4, 2005 at 4:45 pm #85570"Bucky Ramone" wrote:"likeaghost" wrote:I think a new Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks album is on the way.
