Michael Bolton has a tribute to Sinatra coming out
It`s on the Concord label which once was a respectable jazz label that`s been going south since their founder died about a decade ago.I think they have Barry Mannilow on their roster too
I guess a Pat Boone box set is next

Jesus and Mary Chain Albums to Be Reissued
Quanah Humphreys and Amy Phillips report:
The Jesus and Mary Chain formed in 1984 and spent the next 15 years creating an audio blueprint of guitar fuzz and reverb for countless bands to follow…although it could be argued that they only did that on their first album, and then spent the next decade and a half repeating themselves, before calling it quits in 1999.Long out of print in the U.S., the first five JAMC albums are being reissued by Rhino Records on DualDisc format. 1985’s Psychocandy, 1987’s Darklands, 1989’s Automatic, 1992’s Honey’s Dead, and 1994’s Stoned and Dethroned, are scheduled for release on July 11. The discs offer newly remastered versions of the albums on the CD side, while the DVD side features the albums in high-resolution audio format along with three music videos.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Raveonettes have already pre-ordered these:
Jim Reid is still doing the Freeheat thing…
The Jesus and Mary Chain’s Jim Reid continues to make music, both solo and with his band Freeheat. Freeheat’s latest album, Back on the Water, a collection of studio and live tracks, is due out June 6 on Planting Seeds Records.
No mention of William Reid, have some of his Lazycame stuff, which wasn’t all bad, definitely recommend the song Complicated…

RADIO BIRDMAN: ZENO BEACH – NEW ALBUM AND TOUR
Radio Birdman, the most influential act to emerge from the heyday of late 70?s/early 80?s Australian underground rock, return in July with a brand new album – Zeno Beach – their first album of all new material in 25 years.Recorded in Sydney last December by Birdman guitarist Deniz Tek and engineer Greg Wales, Zeno Beach has a depth not found on earlier recordings. The raucous guitar and fluid keyboards are still there, layered under Rob Younger?s trademark vocals and underpinned by a relentlessly driving rhythm section powered by latest recruit Russell Hopkinson. The sound is rich and more complex.
Released locally on the band?s own Crying Sun Records through Shock distribution, the songs on Zeno Beach are more collaborative than on previous albums where compositions were invariably penned by Tek. With vocalist Younger and guitarist Chris Masuak having successfully fronted their own groups since the initial break-up, it is not surprising they have contributed towards the writing, as have both keyboardist Pip Hoyle and bass player Jim Dickson.
Exploring new directions, "Die Like April" brings to mind LA?s Love while "Hungry Cannibals" is prime 60?s garage punk. Coming from somewhere else altogether the moody and keyboard driven "The Brotherhood of Al Wazah" merges into the closing track, the surf inspired "Zeno Beach". This is a paradoxical album in many ways. None of this is to imply that "Zeno Beach" is not quintessentially a rocker. Tracks like "We?ve Come So Far (to be here today)", "You Just Make It Worse", "Remorseless" and "Locked Up" show a high energy rock ?n? roll band at its best and belting it out.
Radio Birdman, are one of this country?s great rock bands, as powerful today as they were in the ’70s. To accompany the release of Zeno Beach, the band will confirm their stature as they blaze across Australia this July/August on a five week national tour. They will then embark on a 30-date overseas jaunt to promote local releases of the album in the US and Europe.
