I just ordered Television – Live At The Old Waldorf, San Francisco, 6/29/78, released on the Rhino Handmade label, limited edition, looking forward to it….. 8) (…and to the other Television re-releases on Rhino as well….)

So how is this dB? Is it worth the extra few bucks?

All the reissues come in a nice cardboard sleeve, with full lyrics and a very informative booklet.

Marquee Moon is the best of the bunch, as the extras include the full length version of ‘Little Johnny Jewel’ and a completely different take of ‘Marquee Moon’ itself, and some more tracks…

Adventure isn’t that spectacular, extra’s include the track ‘Adventure’, a quite dull instrumental boogie, and a couple of versions of ‘Ain’t that nothin’, not highly recommended….

The live cd is great, very good sound and 14+ minutes of ‘Marquee Moon’ 8) , but I already had that on tape from a bootleg lp from way back then… so, no surprises here, except the stellar improvement in sound quality…

            yep, it’s ‘Beautiful’

…actually, the Christina Aguilera cover is the weakest song on the ep, there’s a beautiful  cover of the VU’s ‘I’ll be your mirror’ on it, and a couple of fine, sparse new tracks, so in the end, not highly recommended, but OK….

Laeto’s new album is supposed to be stunning.

Laeto are a band from Scotland who have written some of the best songs I have ever heard. They’re amazing.
