February 23, 2004 at 12:47 pm #85442Blonde Redhead have a new album out March 9th on 4AD(odd they`re on 4AD but I never thought the Mountain Goats would be on 4AD either)
Blonde Redhead started out very Sonic Youth-ish sounding on early albums but soon found their own style.Guy from Fugazi produced a couple of their albums.Their last album was The Melody Of Certain Damaged Lemons from a couple of years ago;I swear the guy who sings for them sorta sounds like the Supertramp guy
they have a Japanese singer who`s voice reminds me of Debbie Harry more than Yoko Ono.February 26, 2004 at 8:37 am #85443Rykodisc are releasing a Mission Of Burma best of on March 16th
March 4, 2004 at 12:44 pm #85444Sleater Kinney are recording a new album
hopefully out later this year :aliensmile:March 4, 2004 at 2:23 pm #85445The Hellacopters Cream Of The Crap Volume 2 is out in Sweden, on amazon.com you can order it thru the site but it’ll take a couple months

Here’s a link to a Swedish site, not quite sure what they’re saying but you can listen to a track off the album…Hellacopters
I couldn’t get the first or third track to play but you can still hear Long Way Down

Sweet Nothing records will release the double vinyl sometime in March

They also have a 12" vinyl release out called St Valentines Killers, they do a cover of Little Miss Sweetness by Smokey Robinson  The Flaming Sideburns & The Datsuns are also on the disc.
March 4, 2004 at 4:36 pm #85446Here’s what that swedish site says:
Being the vital part of the swedish garage rock culture that The Copters are, they have during their career had time to record a considerable number of b-sides, split singles and exclusive songs for collection and tribute albums. Far from everything could be squeezed into the "Cream of the crap" collection from two years ago so here is another one, with old as well as new stuff. Perhaps not brilliant all the way through but most entertaining. In particular one is struck by the fact that the Hellacopters have always had a very Hellacopters sound, whether they played their own songs or covers on such widely diverse acts such as Love, Kiss, Dead Boys and Nomads.
March 5, 2004 at 11:10 am #85447Thanks Maxini, appreciate it

Guess they rotate the songs, Hellacopters are gone, but they have some clips from the Von Bondies & Sun Kil Moon up today

Is it that part:"I HEAR YOU CALLING MY NAME"

Not sure what Abba song would work
if they cover any of their songs live maybe they could get two of the Sahara Hotnights girls to dress up like the ABBA girls and sing backup
