hello from canada, nihao from china

i’ve been lurking around this board for a few months as an interested reader. there is an amazing range of discussion and information here, most of it very appealing to me. over some beers i have decided to join FreakScene today.

i’ve been into Dinosaur since 2000, but heard them long before that. as a youngster, i had some friends who loved the Cure and hated the Dino cover of Just Like Heaven…and so peer pressure caused me to ignore this great band for too long. also, i really got into hardcore in my late teens and logically, missed out on some great music until i was in my early 20s, less reactionary, more pensive.

for the past four months, i’ve been living in Guangzhou in southern China, teaching English to rich adults. certainly a nice break from working in factories in Canada, then quitting out of boredom every six months.

not that it matters, but my name is Bryan.
