October 24, 2006 at 11:54 am #122751Hello, I like Mudhoney too, they are nice guys and fun to drink beer with. But Dinosaur are my fav. Welcome to the board.
October 24, 2006 at 12:23 pm #122752you met mudhoney? shit
October 24, 2006 at 12:55 pm #122753I live just south of Seattle, I’ve seen and or have met a lot of the popular grunge bands. Mark, Steve and Dan are way cool, I wish Matt Lukin would come back though, he was rad. He would always crack jokes in between songs, totally cool guy.
October 24, 2006 at 1:08 pm #122754thats awesome. what other bands did you meet? ive seen mudhoney live in may and they were hillarious
October 24, 2006 at 1:43 pm #122755Back in the day I met a lot of those bands the Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, The Nirvana guys (before Nevermind), and a bunch of others that never got as big globally but locally. I was a senior in high school when Nevermind came out. All I did back in those days was buy vinyl and go to shows. Thats how I met a lot of those bands, at shows. Those bands weren’t always big and were pretty accessable. You’d often see members from other bands at shows. I remember one show where Dan Peters played with the Screaming Trees just after Mark Pickerel quit, and Mark Arm was there. I met Kim Thayil at a Dinosaur Jr show. Those days were cool.
October 24, 2006 at 1:57 pm #122756youre really lucky to have met those guys
October 25, 2006 at 10:07 am #122757Yeah back then the scene was really cool. It was just ours, and in a way it was like a community. Once Nirvana hit the whole thing got blown to shreds.
I still haven’t expeienced anything like that since, it really was a special time and I am fortunate to have witnessed it so close up.October 25, 2006 at 11:17 am #122758"tonas " wrote:Once Nirvana hit the whole thing got blown to shreds.yeah, it went mainstream
