some alaska! in there too. get their CD, i’ve seen them live 7 times and they are really good.

I like how they have Murph more out front with J and Lou, instead of stuck in the back like drummers usually are.

yeah i like how they have NO drum riser!
more bands should take notice…that drumset in the sky thing is so sixties…
also it lets the other musicians interact more easily(eye contact, etc.).
the band i work w/ <the> have always worked their stage like that, also Los StraightJackets and i’m sure more than that.
great shots btw…
and for the guitar techies out there-J has a Tweed 2X12 amp on stage these days…
anyone know anything about what exactly it is-i could hear it here in sf.

I was at this show in Hollywood. Dino Jr. were great, as usual. One of the highlights, for me, was before the concert. I was standing in front of the Avalon, asking if cameras were allowed, and right after I got the okay, J came walking down the sidewalk past us heading towards the tour bus where Lou and Murph were standing. As J passed us, one of my friends said, "hey, J" and we got the classic small utter of sound and a grimace. I have some pics, and short video recordings of "in a jar" and "sludgefeast," that I will try to share later.
