I dreamed of J last night.

Well, with so many children I have started making Christmas present notes, little ideas for gifts ect. So perhaps this is why I had a dream last night in which I was putting together a present for J. I had the "insert" or liner from two pairs of little baby shoes. I bought the little baby shoes just so I could have the liner or like cardboard "insert" to give to J. I had wrapped them up in tissue paper and tied a ribbon around it, I met Dave Schools downtown and asked him to deliver my gift.

Hey, It’s great to see freakscene, I’m on vacation without a computer connection, tonight we are visiting the cousins of my husband and they have internet, I was able to check into my house and work e-mail, etc. Â but I also was able to come here, yeah.

I had a great dream last night that involved J Mascis, I dreamed I was at a J Mascis and Fog show. In the dream I never saw J or any form of the Fog but I did encounter a vending machine, the vending machine was like the old cigarette machines from my youth, the ones with the handles that you pulled out. Â Inside the machine were J cd’s for sale, some good bootlegs also. I squated down on the ground attempting to read evey entry. Â At the show were Fuzzy Tim, the guitar player from Aqua Love, (a local band) Â and also this guy Sean who did work on our house who recently died in a motercycle accident. My son Juan Carlos was there and also My friend Morgan and her son Ian. Â Up near the stage were cribs and toys for children, sort of like how they have a playground up near the screen at drive-in theaters, and she was trying to put her son asleep in one of the cribs, I thought it was really a stupid idea because it was about to get very, very loud and I told her so. She asked me "you think so?" Â "yeah, I think so."
I remembered much more of the dream this morning and shared it at the breakfast table but now that is all I can remember, I know I never saw J but I saw lots of friends and it really didn’t seem to matter. Â

This morning, I ended up sitting in an office with Fuzzy Tim, We both were both there to do the same thing.( ante up the school tuition) I told him about my dream while on Anna Maria Island, His father lives there now.. . he said, that’s why you dreamed about me there. I had no idea he had connection there…he loved the cd’s in the cigarette machine idea, we all hope to see J mascis in town again soon, I still hope those witches like to travel. sometimes I wonder about my children especially when they later on in life start to analize all the people in our environment, there is Mike the firefighter, Edward the Computer programer, Bob the botonist, and then a whole assortment of people like Fuzzy Tim, Who’sjob is to get up in front of people and sing words like "you’ve got glitter in your pants, sucked into crystal trance, Sparkle and Prance, watch the unicorn dance"

I had this weird dream last night that J was going to do a tribute show and play covers of his favorite songs. For some reason I was hanging out with him and asked if I could do an acoustic tribute to J to open the show. J agreed and I did Little Fury Things, and The Wagon to open the show. It was acoustic but I had all the rad guitar effects anyway. Then I had to wake up and go to work. Which started me thinking, how scared would you be preforming Dinosaur Jr covers in front of J? Damn that would be some scary shit.

I had my first ever Lou Barlow dream…………I dreamed it was dark outside and in a parking lot there was a car or truck, I’m not sure but some sort of vehicle…….and Lou was fully inside or on top of the engine and he had several wires in his hand that had been stripped (made ready for connection) he was in the process of stripping another and then I watched him place a wire into something and it made a blue spark. Next I was inside a building that was next to the parking lot and I saw J Mascis and he was in some sort of distress……….I was listening to him talk and the problem seem to be that there were people coming at him from every direction of the building, the front door, the back door, the side doors……….these people were not perceived as dangerous to him, merely annoying………..in fact it seemed that some of them were friends or family (not fans). He wanted out of the building fast………….I said "follow me, I know a secret way out"…………we went down some back stairway and into a car………..we were driving and we passed a museum that had a banner stretched across the front announcing some upcoming event……..and the banner had some drawing on it and he asked me "What are those Dinosaur eggs or girls faces?"
It looked like both…..I couldn’t tell. We ended up in another parking lot and suddenly his breathing became strange and he was making strange sounds………….Immediately I realized that he was doing some sort of Janov Primal therapy and that everything was fine but then suddenly some big African American EMS worker pulled open the door and grabbed him, and he was yelling and I was yelling…….it’s okay………he’s doesn’t need to go to the hospital, he’s okay……….he’s working through something and you are interrupting it, J Mascis was highly distressed as they were pulling him out of the car and was yelling "what’s going on" I woke up and it was 12:30 in the morning and I was so upset from the dream that my heart was racing. This is the third dream I have had this week in which some sudden stressful event is in full swing and I am a sort of bystander. When I woke up I got up and went into the kitchen and I saw my husband was still awake and doing paper work at the table………"Oh, my gosh……..I just had a really weird Lou Barlow J Mascis dream and it was so stressful that my heart is racing, Do you want to hear it?" his answer "not really" got to love those Leos.
This dream has everything to do with the business of my life at the moment and I only put Barlow and Mascis in because of listening to Beyond a bunch and coming to freakscene. I was glad to read over my other dreams under this topic. I used to keep a dream journal for many years and stopped before I turned 30…….

I haven’t been remembering my dreams, of late. Just one or two–of people I should get in touch with. I just re-read my J. dream and there was something missing. When J. was standing there silent and I was with my friend trying to run because of the earthquake, I kept saying "Come on J., you shouldn’t stay here!" But he just kept staring at me in his dark blue track suit.

I love crazy dreams. I once dreamt that I was seeing Sonic Youth in the future (kinda like terminator, everything destroyed.) the world was like a jungle and the sy played in an outdoors formal teather.

i had a dream last night that helmet came out with a new album, and it was really good.. .thats funny cause their new album sucked… not like dinosaur jr’s … it has some of the best vocals by j yet. i still think i got lost is the best.

Ha, ha, ha – I was thinking about a thread about Dinosaur related dreams recently. Last fall I had a dream that I was in the middle of a zombie movie, and all these people were shooting zombies with shotguns. J Mascvis was there and would strum a guitar really quickly and a burst of energy would come out and destroy the zombies. It was very cool. Now I see a commerical on TV for a vidoe game which looks amazingly like this dream, with bolts of energy coming from a guitar. Gotta go, more later.

Okay, you can’t make this stuff up except it’s the Internet so of course you can but……..
my daughter is in a film being shot in Georgia now…………a zombie movie…..which is so perfect because
when my friends call and just say "whats up" on the phone…..my stock answer has always been "just waiting for the zombie apocalypse" and this film is about a zombie apocalypse. Thats not the strange part……….the strange part is my daughter recently had an perfect diva fit………….they took a lunch break after standing in a cemetery for about 3 hours and she was running towards me screaming "these people are terrible" "they don’t know what they are doing" "we had to do that scene one hundred times…..I quite! She started tearing off her clothes and throwing them on the ground….by this time everyone is looking to see what I’m going to do…….I told her she couldn’t leave…..(btw…this film part was her idea totally, not mine, in fact it has been nothing but inconvenience for me) I’m trying to hold her to calm her down and she is kicking and screaming, I was so embarrassed! Just then this Taliferro county sheriff, a big huge African American dude who has been on the set blocking traffic for a few weeks, came over and asked if he could help, he was like a big beautiful bear of a man, wonderful and kind, and he sort of scooped her up under her arms and I took the rest of her and we went inside and got her some food and ice water…………..after that she was better…..but if gergsie had not posted his dream I would have never realized that that sheriff was the same Black EMS worker from my J Mascis dream. Now I know why I had that dream….I had not even made that connection…….my daughter was having a total fit and making lots of noise and sitting on the gravel driveway in her "film clothes" and screaming and that fellow came to my rescue.

Oh yeah, wanted to say that I had a dream a while ago about getting off a plane alone, not knowing where the fuck I was… looks like that might happen—NOT!

I had another Dinosaur Jr dream just last week – I was at a party in a gymnasium; there were people standing around, some were smoking cigarettes, others were watching some sort of sporting event in the gym,, when I noticed J Mascis standing there as I tried on this horrible yellow cotton sweater. "Hey, I really like your new album," I said to him, "It’s really good." He said thanks, and then when I looked again he was gone, and my reaction was that, omigod, he had probably come into this somewhat lame party to get away from all the people who were saying that to him, and I was totally embarassed.

No not a premonition…..the diva fit happened last Saturday…..this weekend went better and now we are finished, yeah!
A zombie comedy……..in the cemetery…..the minister is saying (as they bury a zombie) "Here we are laying to rest Raymond AGAIN"
"and we ask that you except him into heaven AGAIN." Funny stuff! A fan, I need a fan, everybody in this house is a little tired of me.
