Got a copy from Josh himself (and a signed setlist as well) at last wednesday’s gig at the upstairs hall at the Paradiso. As Hansione already said, it was a very fine gig, great songs in the spirit of Big Star and Dream Syndicate, and the album is very fine as well!
Now listening to a solo acoustic set of Josh Rouse, recorded earlier that day!
Nice cover of ‘A Forest’………..

Belgian guy (used to be a rapper) makes a very fine album, in some kind of strange ‘Americana’ vein, with some excursions to hardcore punk and reggae, all the lyrics are in a dialect that is spoken by some 200 Belgians, but somehow, with the lyric-sheet (and some knowledge of the basic Belgian dialect) you can make sense of the lyrics, and they are excellent! (although the only thing English-speaking people probably will understand are some fuck you’s….) <img>Picked a couple up this week,
