Idaho – The Forbidden EPFebruary 22, 2002 at 7:07 pm #68195Day before yesterday a copy with autograph:
Josh Rouse: home.
Great gig, great fun in a smal hall! Nice guy this Josh to talk with too.February 22, 2002 at 9:14 pm #68196Josh Rouse – Under cold blue stars
Got a copy from Josh himself (and a signed setlist as well) at last wednesday’s gig at the upstairs hall at the Paradiso. As Hansione already said, it was a very fine gig, great songs in the spirit of Big Star and Dream Syndicate, and the album is very fine as well!
Now listening to a solo acoustic set of Josh Rouse, recorded earlier that day!
Nice cover of ‘A Forest’………..

February 24, 2002 at 8:57 pm #68201Lambchop – Is a woman
Is a beauty!
Is a bonus: an ep with fine covers of "This corrosion" (Sisters of Mercy) and "Backstreet girl" (Rolling Stones)Flip Kowlier – Ocharme ik
Belgian guy (used to be a rapper) makes a very fine album, in some kind of strange ‘Americana’ vein, with some excursions to hardcore punk and reggae, all the lyrics are in a dialect that is spoken by some 200 Belgians, but somehow, with the lyric-sheet (and some knowledge of the basic Belgian dialect) you can make sense of the lyrics, and they are excellent! (although the only thing English-speaking people probably will understand are some fuck you’s….) <img>March 1, 2002 at 6:42 pm #68202Picked a couple up this week,
