For a total amount of € 25,– I found these four cd’s:
Leo Kottke / Hear the wind howl
Richard Thompson / Amnesia
Bangles / Hits
Les & Mary / Best of (music reminds me of my father, he was a great fan. Listen to"Bye bye love" and "how high the moon" and you know why. Were talking 1952!)Nick Cave and the bad seeds / Nocturame (thanks Db!!!)
March 20, 2003 at 3:10 pm #91811The Warmers-the Warmers (on Vinyl)
The Special Goodness-Life Goes By ($.99 single)
and an order for the Beefeater CD.
March 20, 2003 at 5:35 pm #91812Malk-Beefeater were great!
a guy on the college station here used to play them alot on his show;the singer(Tomas Sqiup) later was in Fidelity Jones so you might want to check that album out, then he stopped doing music
he might still be doing photography for Dischord though,he did some of Minor Threat`s pics.Once the guy on the radio read sorta of a poem by Tomas Squip,I was thinking of posting it here but can`t find the tape it`s on
if I do find it someday,I will post it,it`s a view of life and the world though his eyes.March 20, 2003 at 6:06 pm #91813Tomas was also drummer for Red C. But the man of the hour is Dug E. Bird, the bassist for Beefeater and Fidelity Jones.
I’d love to see the poem

Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks – Pig Lib (+5 track bonus cd)
The Aimless Blades – Indian Test Pattern Blues EP (with a very cool cover of John Coltrane’s ‘A love supreme’)March 25, 2003 at 11:48 pm #91815Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks – Pig Lib
As sad as the fact that Pavement is no more, the reality that SM is putting out albums is enough to replace milk and cookies on my best things going right now list.
I bought this today, rather yesterday for sticklers about that midnight day shift technocality. My ride home was much greater than the hour of so I drove to find a store cool enough. I love new albums, especially ones that make the world seem ok. The Jicks let loose on this one. Not to be missed.
That interview found near here is a great companion, as are the free five tracks on the bonus disc.
Almost bought Cat Power as well, but the stores were all closed when my 50 cent movie let out. Tuesday is half price day, I sort of scheduel my off day around it when possible and there is something worth seeing. I saw…well, there’s probably another thread for this…
bottom line is, Jicks are its, making hits, buy the disc, cat power is next, saw on letterman other night, first look for me, blew my top, much fun, late night thrilled, thoughts not always drilled, to bed is joy, new album is toy, sleep I need, back to the dish mine tomorrow.

Because I didn’t own this one.
Beefeater Still hasn’t come in. Maybe they were serious about the whole "2-4 years to arrive" thing.
