August 23, 2002 at 2:45 am #71308had the itch to go search the lackluster used bins around here and found:
-gorky’s zygotic mynci–spanish dance troupe
-david kilgour (from the clean)–feather in the engine
-tommy keene–the real underground
-jazz butcher (conspiracy)–distressed gentlefolk
-american analog set–know by heart. well, this was new, but i’m tired of listening to the mp3s.tomorrow i get to gamble on horses and then see sonic youth for free…

August 25, 2002 at 5:59 pm #71314you need to get some pixies live stuff, its soooo class. They often did a thing where they would play their songs in alphabetical order, which is cool.

Got this as a birthday present from my sister, and it ROCKS. The QOTSA now feature Dave Grohl (on drums, and he is excellent….) and Mark Lanegan (vocals)
Extra-cool: the limited bonus DVD with live video’s, thank you sis
ps. what’s the fun of a ‘hidden track’ when the sleeve says: ‘Hidden track: Mosquito Song’

I second db’s opinion. Mark Lanegan is amazing and Dave Grohl is my hero.
Pavement- Terror Twilight
Modest Mouse- Fruit that ate itself
At The Drive In- El Gran Orgo (Go buy Sparta’s new album…)
Mudhoney- Now that we’ve become translucent
who would’ve thought they’d put out another album. It’s pretty good. -
