I’ve come to the conclusion BEARS football is bad for your mental health, that loss just about killed me… :(

Loved seeing the Steelers pull it out though, great news about Big Ben’s knee, certainly looked like a torn ligament kinda hit during the game, pretty lucky it’s just a hyperextention, no torn ligaments!!!

…not really a double feature but i watched two movies recently and they were both funny as it seems or at least cool enough to mention without evil words; first was man i can’t remember the name, i should look it up[ but i’ve been drinking, it was that "vote for Pedro" thing about the high school geek and it was funny but not what i thought at all, the lead, of who the movie was named for, was a flat out jerk which made the movie odd being that usually you are forced to like the geeky kid because he is sweet but he was a jerk but the film was so quirky that it worked without doing much of anything at all. Second was School of Rock, featuring Jack Black, who i am not a big fan of, although High Fiedelity was perfect for him, but ye old Richard Linklater directed it so i was excited to see it and Jack did a good job and the movie worked well enough to get me caught up emotionally during the climax, not liek crying emotion stuff but it was powerful to a point that a comedy can reach, like Turner and Houch, did i say that out loud???

oh morning after sort or edit but really just adding on modify style saying Napolena Dynomite was the first film and it was fun(ny).

Just watched the mighty BEARS beat The Ravens, huge defensive battle in the pouring rain…BEARS win 10-6 & remain in the lead of the NFC North 8)

Next up Detroit… ;D

…that Detroit game is as big as it gets, both 3-3 eye believe, hope it’s on tv here; Stillers are Monday night next week, Halloween against the same ravens da Bears just smushed, something chilly about playing the ravens at night on halloween. Stillers crush bengals, solid football on tv all weekend, as both my teams (Stillers and Penn State) rebound from crushing last play defeats last week to blowout victories this week, good stuff…

…I also watched a bunch of movies: Sideways, good better at times worse at some but good; the Hotel New Hampshiere, good but probably spelled wrong sort of corny but it is an 80’s movie featuring young Jodie Foester and the guy from that other movie; School of Rock, great stuff worried a bit that it might be too much a kids movie but not at all Richard Linklater is a top notch director and eye got caught up in all the magic of it…

I watched the Steelers game at work the other night, gotta love getting paid well to watch football. Must be good to have Ben back, loved the way you shut down Palmer!

The Detroit game is huge, looking forward to it.

Been waiting to say this for awhile…packers 1-5 ;D

…watched Penn State crush Purdue, well most of it, long story lost in verse, Also mist part of the Stillers squeaker against the ravens, glad to get out of that one; love that nfl action. Bears look good, interception overtime games are crazyfun to win eye imagine. Stillers minus Big Ben, little surgury, goto lambo. Hope for the best as always. Go freakscene football fans teams…

Steelers beat the Packers today, gotta love that result, Packers are now 1-7 :o

Missed the 1st half of the BEARS today, we ended up beating The Saints by a field goal in the last few seconds of the game, now @ 5-3 with the lead in the NFC North… 8)

Gotta love the win but I just can’t figure out how a qb can so consistently overthrow receivers by a couple miles, horrifying passing game at times… ??? ??? ??? I understand he’s a rookie, pleased he doesn’t lose the game for us, manages it quite well, but YIKES. Cedric Benson played great today, had some great runs. Shame Thomas Jones is out though, he’s a true monster at rb!!!

Next up for the mighty BEARS, San Francisco :D

Recently saw a very pleasing documentary…

Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey

An entertaining thriller about the man who pioneered the field of electronic music four decades before the rise of electronic rock, and helped usher in technological warfare between cold war super powers years before Ian Fleming created the fictional super spy James Bond. After escaping Lenin’s Russia following the communist revolution, Professor Leon Theremin travelled to New York where be sowed the seeds of electronic rock during the fabled jazz age. At the height of his popularity, he was kidnapped from is own home by Soviet agents and forced to develop spy technology for Stalin’s KGB. But they had left a legacy in the free world which rockers from the Beach Boys to Todd Rundgren would use to help launch a revolution of their own.

The theremin is a cool instrument.I once saw the woman who mastered it on tv,she played it like a violin.

There was a woman prominently featured in the film, CLara Rockmore, she was great, definitely could play anything on the Theremin. Apparently the walls of Sing Sing were once wired by Theremin, if someone ran at the wall to jump there would be a Theremin alarm signal… ;D

Watched the 1st disc of Don Lett’s film Punk Attitude, gotta say it’s pretty pleasing so far. Tons of commentary by Thurston Moore, Captain Sensible, Wayne Kramer, Tommy Ramone, they even talked with Killer Kane from The Dolls…rip!

Great live clips as well, hopefully the 2nd disc is just as pleasing

Also just watched the MIGHTY BEARS beat the bucs 13-10… 8)

Bucs missed a 29 yd fg that would have tied the game, I just about passed out when that happened. Our D played amazing as usual, Alex Brown & Ogunuleye had a couple sacks each, so pleasing to win such a HUGE game on the road.

BEARS 8-3, 7 wins in a row :D :o :D

And with a rookie quarterback, no less. I watched my Cowboys squander away another one on Thanksgiving- they just don’t have an identity (unlike the Bears whose punishing D is dedinately their trademark)
And another thing- I’m SO sick of hearing about the "don’t poke the bear" mentality my ‘boys have about Parcells. For Sale: Past his prime, overweight, grouchy, self- serving coach-CHEAP!

You might want to pawn parcells off to Detroit, apparently they’re blaming the coach not Matt Millen for the bad players Mooch has to choose from… ???

I like Drew Bledsoe, he’s a great qb, most of the time ;)

Our rookie qb is managing the games pretty well, not losing them for us with too many picks or drops. Our D is huge this year, lead the league, have only allowed 10 td’s thru the season, only 5 in the red zone, unbelievable D line play! We need another receiver to step up, hopefully Eddie Berlin will be the one next week against the 3 & 8 packers @ Chicago ;D ;) ;D

…the stillers show little magic on monday night football. It’s going to be a tough road home but we aren’t that far away no matter how bad we looked at times this year, 7-4 is alright and the bungles strom into town this sunday with the division lead on the line. The real question is can the Stillers give the Mighty Bears a game in a few weeks? Love watching the Chicago score updates, since i found freakscene i’ve been talking up the Bears every year to my live action friends and i’ve taken some heat but this year i am all smiles, futbol americano is easy stuff, if you can get pressure on the qb wiht only a four man rush then good things happen, the bears d is sick but the front four is deep and nasty, good stuff, i know it’s early but if the Stillers can’t claw their way to a play-off re-match in Indy, i don’t see the colts losing till they get to da Bears in the Super Bowl…

…a double feature to cure the pain of the day, actually it was suppost to be a single feature and i should be asleep right now but the first movie, Carried Away, let me down a bit, so i needed to watch a second film to ensure a good night of sleep. Carried Away was suppost to be a serious movie about passion and all that having fun type stuff the trouble is that it caused laughter at serious moments, dialouge being blame material but maybe i was just being mean, i liked the movie but it was so bad sometimes, Gary Busey has a great cameo worth the price of rental. The second movie, the Girl Next Door, explored the same type of feelings but did it unapoligetically as a comedy and the laughter was out of control at times, the right times, i hope at least, it was great and now i’m off to bed in a rare fit of happiness…
