…oh Stillers beat bungles; how much fun is sunday going to be futbol americano fans, whole weekend really, but days like sunday don’t come around often i’m ready to soak it up good or bad and be happy while it lasts…

      Here we go Stillers…

      …go Bears go…

This has been a long week, so looking forward to sundays games, doesn’t get any better than Steelers vs Indy followed by BEARS vs Panthers, hope we both feel that way after the games… ;)

All nervous about the outcome, expect a more efficient panthers team this time, last time we killed them, 8 sacks, couple int’s, tons of wicked pass rushing, tackling, great corner play…it was the perfect defensive game for us! Brian Urlacher was just on NFLnetwork-god I love that channel-huge congrats to him for being voted top defensive player of the league, along with Lovie Smith for being named Coach of the year… ;D

      Go Steelers Go

      Go BEARS Go

ps saturdays games are pretty thrilling as well, Washington @ Seattle (rain predicted, big surprise… :o) & Patriots @ Denver

Huge Congrats to the Stillers, fingers crossed you go all the way!!!

You came out fast & aggressive, did all the right things and thank god that Bus fumble resulted in no points :o ;D

It hurts to have the mighty BEARS lose like that, we were in it statistically until 41 seconds in the game..guess I have to live with that :( Tillman killed us today, lost some key players…Mike Brown specifically, we just didn’t play well, Panthers came out to win & had a much improved pass rush today, they earned the win & huge congrats to them.

Heartbreaking loss all the same… :(

…Bettis almost fumble away his career.

Seriuosly, we lose that and he isn’t a hall of famer but the guy that fumbled away that game. I was waiting for a whistle couldn’t believe the play was happening.

Much like the Bears game, disbelief. I just hope it doesn’t effect the team long term. You guys have a good thing going, I think Rex has a good future, plus Kyle has proven to be capable as well. That freakin’ Steve Smith, out of control. SO hard to overcome and early big play, happened to Stillers first goaround in Indy, Ike Taylor gets beat and all hell breaks lose. Loved the jump over the line on the last play of the game, shows the crazy heart the Bears defense has…

          on to denver.

          go Stillers go

Gonna take awhile to get past the loss, still can’t figure out what the problem was with our corners falling down on coverage & why we didn’t double cover Smith…sigh, post bear season depression again… :o

I do feel good about next year though… ;)

Just watched My Best Fiend by Werner Herzog, his view of the relationship between himself & Klaus Kinski. At one point he was going to firebomb KK’s home, but the dog made to much noise :o ;)

…good to see tennis hit this thread, i was crazy shooked to see Maressmo win the whole thing, she had three opponents retire over the two weeks i believe, she is a monster when she’s on her game, thought she’d choke in the final but Henin-Harden must have been in major pain to throw in the towel; Federer cried like a fourteenyearoldgirl as he excepted his 7th major title, halfway to mighty Pete’s alltime record. Federer is too darn good, he’s a french open away from the career gland slam and being that he was raised on clay courts i’d expect him to get it and wouldn’t be surprised if he won them all in a year maybe even this year, I hope he runs into Nadal at the french, their match last year was fun to watch…

…you know you watch football all your life and you are lucky if your team is good half the years it seems and a super bowl is so darn rare, when the Stillers lost in ’95 i was physically ill, i didn’t vomit but it was even worse i felt like my body was dying and i really didn’t care about trying to get better, i’m already sick of the endless parade of hype and just wish the darn game would start so i can sit in seclusion with the phone unpluged and door locked, maddness but it’s so much fun i guess, or at least i try to tell myself, the playoffs are different, losing is almost expected to keep expectations down, but reaching the highest point is so hard to handle, example being that the past three super bowl losers didn’t even make the playoffs the next year, i’m just hoping to make it to sunday…

                      WhoooHOOOO Steelers win… ;D

Congrats, was a much closer game than I thought it would be. Seahawks played pretty good, but I just can’t pull for a team with an ex packer as coach…the stuffed walrus ;)

Psychiatrist I work with is a Steelers fan, last time I saw him was after the Steelers killed the not so mighty BEARS, he winked at me as we passed in the hall, couldn’t say anything as he was with a pt…I felt like SCREAMING. I’m expecting a visit in the morning, no doubt he’ll come to gloat a bit… :(

                      Next year…BEARS ;)

                      Hines Ward MVP… 8)

Watched an ancient horror movie last nite, from 1932. Enjoyed it, definitely recommended. Heres a synopsis from Kino video…

Vampyr is one of the most extraordinary works of the legendary Danish director Carl-Theodor Dreyer, whose The Passion Of Joan Of Arc (1928) and Day Of Wrath (1943) are frequent choices on critics’s lists of the greatest films ever made.

Freely adapted from classic Victorian supernatural tales, Vampyr tells the story of a young man who becomes involved with two sisters, one of whom, wasting away with a strange sickness, turns out to be the victim of a vampire.

In Vampyr, Dreyer has tranformed LeFanu’s horror tales into a mystic quest, a meditation on the theme of death, and neatly fashioned it as an abstract experimental film. The camera is like a sleepwalker, leading us, trance-like, into a labyrinth from which cause and effect have disappeared. The hauntingly sinister atmosphere created is disquieting and unforgettable.

The group involved in creating Vampyr represented a confluence of great talent. Dreyer himself is one of the true brilliant avant garde pioneers of the medium. Hermann Warm, the art director, had created the sets for The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, and cinematographer Rudolph Maté went on to photograph several landmark Hollywood films including Foreign Correspondent and Gilda

…the Oscars and they made me like George Clooney, i jsut thought his speech was great i didn’t think he was smart but he seems to know what is going on. The oscars made me want to see a film called June Bug and i just watched it, it was fine, but not great some parts were so cool like this Carolina Panther fan at the factory the one guy worked talking about how he watches the dvd of their super bowl lose to new england and he keeps thinking they are going to come back and win but they never do, i hate when that happens…

…South Park is all that matters, they killed family guy and it so needed to be killed plus they are brave enough to say that america might not be as right as it seems to think it is…

…i’m so sick of sports on tv, if i wasn’t such a fan i’d turn off for good, the sound is already off but then they do stupid stuff like i was watching this nba game and the game is clearly not going to a break it is the middle of the third quarter and they leave the game and head to the studio, i grab the remote and un-mute it think that it must be wwIII or something big being there no reason to leave the game, but they left the game for boring sports talk, back to the studio to discuss the very game you could be watching but we think you’d rather hear what the studio guys think while the stars were on the bench, shaq takes a breather and abc sees no reason to show the back-ups play when there is talking to be done, what a joke, why is sports talk a ratings booster, show me the game that’s all i want…

been watching a LOT of TV recently.. ???

                              The Incredibles (DVD)
                              Finding Nemo (DVD)

Lots of live NBA and NHL playoffs.

Of course, I have had my new TV for about 3 weeks now. Things are going well with it!!!

High Definition Sporting Events KICK ASS!!!! I even watch some NBA, even though I really do not like it.

I can not wait for football season now..

of course, I need to carve out about 12 hours of a day to watch the Lord of Rings triology from start to finish.

…two rather good movies. One comedy one drama. COmedy being the Wedding Crashers. I know it may seem like a studio cheesy ham it up comedy but Vince Vaugn is funny, and Christopher Walken plays football. Drama being Hustle and Flow, even if you hate hip-hop this is a good film. It tells a good story and makes interesting scenes. DJ Kwalls or however he spells it was born to play his minor role and Terrance Howard is too good to be true…
