…a bunch of movies, the Madness of King George was ok, fun but not that funny i guess, oh Mermaids was great but i’m such a Winona Ryder fan i can’t imagine a bad movie with her in it, oh i watched the Davis cup final and it was cool to see Marat Safin all happy, he’s one of my favorite’s but his career has been all over and it seemed like a big deal for him and Russia, not that i have a rooting intersest either way, Argentina seems like a nice counrty as well but i just like swashbuckling type athletes that seem to have as much fun off the court as on and that is what i see in Marat; nba in full swing but i haven’t caught many games, sixers look to be in trouble but it’s early…

…this crazy 80’s movie Fresh Horses, i had wanted to see this for years, as a kid i was inthralled by the previews and dug the title enough that i made up this fake song whose only lryics were "fresh horses, brewed to run" and i sung it all the time to the shagrin of my older sister, i was quite young and had no idea what the movie was even about but i knew i’d get a chance to see it someday and that day was yesterday and it was funny being a darkish romance involving a doomed relationship which seemed quite revevant to me and actually helped i think being the paralles i could draw but man 80’s moives are fun(ny) and this one wasn’t really cheesy but sort of cool so if you dig dark love stories wihtout garenteed cheesy story book endings you might dig these horses…

…this movie called Ball in the House. It was a re-hab readjustment detox kind of film and it was ok, but nobody likes a quiter. The movie was ok because it kept you guessing a bit and was sort of interesting, but nothing that special i guess…

Yes, but are the horses really fresh?

I think I might go watch The League Of Gentlemen. "From which we do not pass solids"

Half Nelson. I liked it but the end was a little eh. Maybe I just think Ryan Gosling is a hot crack head. Yes I think that is it.

…Syriana, twice actually, the first time i thought i got the gist of it but knew i wasn’t following it completely, probally lack of sleep, but then i tackled it and it’s partial subtitles with ease and am pleased i took the time to fully enjoy it. Maybe it wasn’t the best movie out there but it is sort of important and deals wiht ideas the government certianly doesn’t want us to think about, maybe it could have been easier to foolw so kids could see how evil the world is run but in the end even knowing the the world is slowly being sucked dry of not just oil but hope doesn’t really get you anywhere, but knowledge is always a good time…

Netflix is one of my favorite things. It makes me happy just to be able to watch all the hilarious tv shows from my youth.

Yesterday I was at a friend’s house and he flipped on Ninja Warrior Challenge. Hours of entertainment right there, let me tell you.

Invisible Invaders, hilarious but cool space zombie movie from 1959…

                          Quote:
Plot: Dr Adam Penner quits as head of the US atomic research program but is shocked when the body of his recently deceased colleague Dr Karol Noymann appears to him, animated by invisible alien invaders, telling him to deliver a message to the politicians of the world asking them to surrender to the invaders. Penner is ignored by Washington so the aliens reanimate other dead and conduct a series of attacks designed to bring the world down. Penner and several others take refuge in a bunker, trying to find a means of defeating the invaders.

…Pride and Prejudice, you know i dig these type of movies being that about the days gone by of the well a long time ago i guess, this was based on the Jane Austen novel and that Keri Knightenly was the star, it was visually stunning even in the pan and scan form i delt with in viewing it, i guess when i watch movies taking place a long time ago it reenforces at least subconsciously the fact that we are but a blip on the grand time line of the big whatever, plus things actually do change, they just take a long time to do so and that is reason enough for me to believe a better day is around the bend…

GRAVEYARD ALIVE is bar none the best original zombie movie I’ve seen in over a decade."
                              Karen Walton Screenwriter, GINGER SNAPS

                              35mm Black and White – 80 minutes

GRAVEYARD ALIVE is a cross between 1920’s German Expressionism and 1960’s B-horror films. Shot in and around the Montreal area, this is Bastard Amber Production’s first full-length feature.

The story follows Patsy, a lonely, dreamy nurse who, after being bitten by a zombie, becomes a sex-kitten. With her newfound powers, she tries to win back her old flame, the suave and handsome Dr. Dox, from Goodie , a bitchy young nurse. As the film progresses, Patsy must also learn to deal with her new affliction and to live her life, no longer in her romantic dream world, but in a harsher yet ultimately more satisfying reality.

Shot in Techniscope with a 1:2.35 aspect ratio, an old process used in many 1960’s films such as Dario Argento’s "The Cat O’ Nine Tails", GRAVEYARD ALIVE promises to invigorate the horror genre stylistically as well as with its audacious and thought-provoking content.

at the end they had a promo for a follow up film…Zombie Nurse in Paradise… :D
