Is Jive Turkey like Jive Bunny And The Mixmasters?
June 9, 2009 at 2:33 pm #127104It was on a t-shirt I saw once! It said Jive Turkey and then had an arrow pointing to whoever would happen to be standing next to you at the time.

I like how today was the perfect day for being outside. Blue skies, warm sun, a gentle breeze. All my planting has been just about finished. I just have to plant basil and cilantro. Maybe some more tomatos. Flowers are all in bloom. Lupins everywhere. My sunflowers are already coming up. I was treated to a handful of snap peas that I kept in my pocket. Now I’m going to grab some water and go outside and bask in the remaining hours of sunshine. Bliss.

I like camping! Even though this weekend was filled with ominous, black clouds and the threat of rain. But hizzah! It didn’t rain! Take that mother nature!
Girl – 1
You – O
It was so relaxing and peaceful and nobody else was in sight because someone started this awful rumor that if rain touches you, you will melt. But I knew better. So here we go. Now I’ll show you that even dark days can be beautiful…
This was the view of where we first arrived and were full of life and laughter before we had to hike 12,006 miles to our campsite.
Here are our two canoes canoodleing.
Out on the lake in said erotic canoe.
Me in all of my filthy glory.
Oh, and Happy Paternal Parental Unit Day to all the dads stateside.

Glad to hear the weather held out for you
Years ago the neighbours used to drive 30 hours to camp in Vermont.I can see why.June 22, 2009 at 9:00 am #127110Oh my! 30 hours?! That’s dedication. But I suppose I can see why. Vermont is beautiful like a kaleidoscope you hold up to the light and look through.
I like you Vermont.

Rick is a big MC5 fan and Mark is big on the Ramones. They said they really dig Love which surprised me.
I remember someone asking Lou Barlow if he liked them after seeing them play.Lou said ‘Julie was on bass man,she was… there!’July 6, 2009 at 3:11 pm #127114I am going to take the next step with this topic and go from like to love.
I love the ocean!
Isn’t that beautiful? Oh, I had so much fun and sun and smiles for miles. We went out on this and saw seals! So cute!
And then their were fireworks
Right on the beach!
Going off right next to us
And all around us!
We were surrounded!I took so many pictures but I’ll stop with those.

I did have a good time, SG. So much so that I am a little down now that I am home today. Maybe I really am part mermaid and that’s why I miss the ocean so.

I really do love the ocean though. Even though I have to travel 3 hours to get there. But that is just another little thing that I like…knowing how to get places by heart.
And the weather was so topsy turvy! It was beautiful beautiful beautiful and then dark clouds started rolling in. I went inside to put on a sundress and when I came back out it was thundering and lightning and there was even hail! But once it cleared up the sky was something out of a dream. Here’s a rainbow after the rain.

The little islands off to the left were where the seals were. Some pretty clouds…
