Every last friday of the month we have a mandatory two hour lunch at work so as people who work on different projects and departments get a chance to hang out and catch up. For me who only work on projects and is often out of the office this is especially nice.
Anyways, some months ago I decided that this lunch should be started with a fanfare so I dragged my speakers as far out of my office as the cables permitted and started playing Baba O Reilly as loud as possible.
This could have been a great success if I had only told anyone about my plan, since I hadn’t some people got a little startled. After a while they were all smiles though.Highlight: when the girls(and women,) of the legal department started dancing to AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long. There’s nothing quite like the sight of 15 lawyers in their powersuits gyrating around to *snaps out of it.*
