Do not spend a cent until you have checked out the Tonebone Classic. True bypass, with an overdrive distortion that will rock your world!!

the american sounds more like a modern rap/metal band distortion *yuck!*

Change all the 1uF caps to 0.1uF, and the diodes to 1N4148… it’s about $3 worth of parts, and it will blow the Russian version out of the water. I also changed the tone stack on mine to flatten the mids.

OK… it still doesn’t sound as good as my triangle version… but for $80 it sounds pretty damn amazing!

OHHHH, that cream and blue russian big muff is my peronal favorite. That big switch sucks, but the most crazy ass-Pumpkins uber gain then it does the J thing for single notes.

Try a DOD classic fuzz. It comes in a rusty orange box. They are cheap here in the us(don’t know how they’d be iin NZ). It is great, underrated fuzz. Dime it and it will be good.
