I don’t know exactly what parts of this are true or not- but a few years back I was told by a number of people that J played at a Beatles Tribute show at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA. I was told that he played the White Album in it’s entirety- but that seems unlikely based on how long that album really is. But- he probably did play a number of songs off of it.

I have no idea if anyone recorded this show- but it would be awesome if someone did.

I wish i went to that show. I had tickets and everything.

There was a Zombies tribute show in NYC 1998, I’d love to hear J’s contribution…

Has anyone heard of this on any vinyl comp/tribute?

J did indeed play the entire White Album at a day long festival of Western Ma. bands playing Beatles albums from Please Please Me to Abbey Road, if memory serves me correct. I missed this show, because it sold out in about a week and 2 months in advance, but it did indeed happen.

If anyone has a recording of that, it’d be great to put up on freesofree.
I’m really curious to hear this show. The White Album is my favorite Beatles album, and having J play it just sounds like it would be fucking awesome!

Man, now I really wish I was at that show. I heard he played the ENTIRE white album, but thought.. IMPOSSIBLE! Guess it did happen huh? THe thing that sucks is that my aunt is on the Northampton Arts Council and has friends at that venue, so I could have gotten in.

What the hell was I doing? What the hell was I thinking?

                Man I love The Beatles…

Its really kind of interesting that there are reports of J playing all these tributes (Beatles, Allman, Stooges, Etc.) yet when you read certain interviews with J he says he doesn’t play other peoples songs. :-

I haven’t hear dhim say that much but I think I remember what you are talking about but for the most part he doesn’t at least not in his professional album selling career. Besides like 5 covers out of almost 80 originals. I think thats what he ment.
