Hey,
I will be heading to the DinoJ concert in Minneapolis on May 30th and was wondering if anyone who has any idea what set they will be playing? Mostly stuff from "Beyond!"? A Mix? Any ideas?
I have read that this tour beginning in May is to promote/celebrate the re-release of their select albums but they don’t say anything about Beyond being a part of it…
At least I hope it’s a mix. This will be my first time seeing Dino in concert (been waiting 15 years for this) and I would really love to hear some of my favorites while standing 3 feet from God himself…

I imagine they’ll be playing much of Beyond, as one of the reasons that prompted them to record a new album was to have something other than the old material to play in concert, as they were all getting quite tired of it. I’d expect at least a half-dozen songs from Beyond to be played each night, along with a more limited assortment of the older material than they’ve been playing over the past year-and-a-half. The real question is: which of the old songs are they going to drop?
With all the new Beyond material, I wouldn’t be surprised if some or all of the post-Lou stuff gets dropped. Seems like they started playing more of that stuff because they were tired of the setlist, but now they they have a bunch more stuff to play, they may well just go back to playing stuff from the original lineup: 6 or so songs from Beyond, plus the obvious oldies (Freak Scene, Little Fury Things) and some other rotating songs from the 80’s albums. Or, who knows, maybe they’ll do the Beyond stuff plus a Dino Greatest Hits show, with stuff like Out There and Feel The Pain mixed in too. Anyway, I bet Beyond will be fairly heavily featured, but I bet that it will still be at least half oldies.
