Man, the recording of this show (June 6) absolutely kills! It is the best sounding Dino f’in ever! The quality is the best out of all of the new 2007 shows on freesofree. If they only played Crumble, this show would rule.

i believe it, the 2 night run in december 05 was the same way. 2 night blew away the 1st.

See, there I disagree with you. I’d put them about even, with a slight edge for the first night, which seemed to me tighter and more focused. The second night was louder and more aggressive, though.

Funny thing about perceptions: that second ’05 Irving Plaza night a bunch of old friends came down from CT for the show. None of them (all big Dino fans) were impressed, and even felt kind of let down by the show, while I and my NJ friends thought it was great. Last summer those same CT folks went to the Toad’s show, which I thought was very good given what the band had just gone through (having their gear stolen the night before), but nowhere near as great as the Irving Plaza show. They all raved about the gig, and felt that the band had redeemed themselves.

some people go purely on setlist also. some people will say that was the best show ever casue maybe they played some songs they don’t allways play. or it was a bad show only cause they played a one song encore rather than 3 or 4 songs..

some of us esspecially those of us who have seen them a bunch kinda just judge on how theyre playing and if they seem like theyre in the flow or whatever. sometimes crowd energy can kinda play a role in it all as well.
