Friggin’ amazing again! Things seemed a little rough during the first couple cuts (but that might only be because the previous night’s set was tight as the proverbial duck’s ass right from the get-go), but once they hit their stride the intensity (and volume) level just kept increasing from song to song. It was a very different show from Friday’s in that they focused more on the heavy side of the band, and the increased volume reflected that. Lots of setlist variation between the two nights, too. I’ve never really liked "Lose" before — until last night. They absolutely KILLED it. I could go on and on about how great this band is, but then that wouldn’t be telling anyone around herre anything they didn’t already know. Basically, they’re consistently topping the level of performance of the (fantastic) shows I saw this summer, and of the recordings I’ve heard of other summer shows. It feels like they might be in this for (relative, given these guys) keeps. J was smiling quite a bit, too, which none of my friends could believe. It was cool to hear In A Jar reserved for the second encore, when the volume is at the over-the-top level, and Chunks and Mountain Man were vicious, as was the rippling wall of feedback from J’s stacks between the set and first encore. Very nice. I’m counting the days till the dvd release.

Set list (again, not really in order):

      Gargoyle (opener)
      — from here it’s not in order —
      Bulbs
      Swan
      Little Fury Things
      Kracked
      Lung
      Lose
      Post
      Budge
      Wagon
      — from here it’s in order —
      Raisans
      Sludge

      Freak Scene
      Chunks

      In A Jar
      Mountain Man

Murph and Lou — christ, what a rhythm section! Great sound, great volume, great time. Too bad that’s it for now.

my god amaaazing show. the 7th reunion show ive seen and by far the best. LOSE was so great i couldnt even believe it when lou introduced it.. "this next song is my song"… then they started it up, so awesome. Mountain Man closer… couldnt have ended better.

friday night was a great show. last nights show was the best fucking show ever. Kinda weird cause friday everyone was going nuts and crowd surfing, pushing getting real into it. Last night the crowd seemed younger and everyone just kinda stood there rockin’ along.

they handed out masks friday to everyone in the front row. Paper masks of monster faces from dinosaur shirts. the start choppin’ mask was my favorite. i got all 3 cause everyone just dropped them on the floor at the end of the show and i snagged em after people cleared out. Nobody really wore the masks haha.

The pink muppet looking dude from the "i dont think so" video came out at both shows and danced around on stage at the beginning… friday night he crowd surfed, last night he just came out and hugged j and murph and ate lous head from behind haha. it was cool, i got some good pics from both nights.

ghetto ways really rocked i liked them alot. love as laughter.. eh.. not bad not really that into it though.

        off to middle east tonight.

This was a great show! I was lucky enough to be in the balcony on J’s side of the stage so I watch him up close. Needed to check out his pedal board too. Great to hear The Wagon, especially after Lou gave that guy a hard time about requesting it.

There was the wah-wah of course, but other than that all I could make out were rows of foot switches. There didn’t seem to be any individual pedals.

yes, the show kicked ass, they were fuckin awesome!! way tighter than the 2 other times i saw them this summer. the place was PACKED!!!! me and my buddies got their like 10 minutes before dinosaur went on, which kinda sucked cause by the time we got there, there was no way at all to get near the stage, and the balcony was loaded too. ended up hanging back at the doors near the stairs, off to j’s side. from there we could see them kinda at least. but man, they sounded so sick last night, and Lose and The Wagon were welcome surprises. i bought one of the white selt titled t shirts they made just for this mini tour. cool shirt and an awesome show!

Audience sightings. I saw Kevin Corrigen who was in aa bunch of movies and that show grounded for life, Evan Dando of course. And some guy I can’t place. He is a 20 something comedic actor, has played very jewish before but I can’t think of the movie.

Even though Friday’s show kicked fucking ass I feel pissed for missing this show! I really wanted to hear Lose and despite screaming it at the top of my lungs they saved it for the second night- UGH!!! Â >:( Â Well, it better be on the DVD damn it!
Anyway, Ghetto Ways rocked – could’ve skipped the second act for a longer Dino set imo. I would drive to Boston tonight, but I think my car would die either on the way there or back so… I guess I’ll just have to wait till next time :P

Didn’t they close with Just Like Heaven?

How come that isn’t on your lists?

They didn’t play it at the Saturday show, only the Friday one.
