Anyone remember what they were doing when they heard about Kurt`s death?I heard the news at 4 o`clock pm that a body was found but they were`nt sure it was him then at 6 during a Eric`s Trip song on the college station the dj came on and announced it was Kurt.

I’ve been sitting around that afternoon with some friends, playing cards and having MTV playing in the background, when they broke the news :(

although I wasn’t much into Nirvana, it was very sobering for me, it felt like sorta the party was over. The years after, I didn’t follow the music scene like I did before.

Yeah, the early `90s were a great time in indie rock and it seemed that after Kurt died things got kinda boring(though Nirvana were mainstream it was the underground scene they came out of),maybe just coincidence;sure, there`s good stuff happening these days but it`s not like it was 10 years ago, back then I could go into a record store and see a ton of great albums I wanted to get that were new,now there`s few things that I would want to get.The `80s underground scene was cool as well,I don`t know…it has`nt been a amazing last 10 years except for some stuff

i was driving home from work when KROQ came on and said it was indeed the body of Cobain that was found…

I was 20 at the time, and I remeber being devastated (of course, I was still not 100% clear from Meth (that came in May))… I was a HUGE Nirvana fan.. I seem to recall I shed a tear while alone in the car..
