                Not "bought" perse’

Somebody donated their Vinyl collection to the library, and the employee’s ransacked it. My finds:

                The Beatles-Let it Be
                The Beatles-Magical Mystery tour.
                Rolling Stones-Beggers Banquet
Rolling Stones-Some girls (in origional cutout sleeve!)
                Rolling Stones-Hot Rocks
                Simon and Garfunkel-Wednesday morning 3AM
Simon and Garfunkel-Boxed set (nearly unlistened
                Simon and Garfunkel-sounds of silence
                Simon and Garfunkel-Bookends
                Elton John-Madman Across the Water
                Michael Oldfeld-Tubular bells

and a Muppets album (with blackboard liner), a chipmunks christmas album, and a Spider man album! all worth more for the package than their contents, but great wall decor.

Iron & Wine – The creek drank the cradle

Another lesson learned: never make your end of the year lists too early, just finished them, and along comes this one, 11 very intimate songs, recorded as lo as fi can go, imagine Lou Barlow singing Nick Drake songs, a beauty!!!!!! (on Sub Pop records)

Yes. How about why the fuck you are just getting this now? And how you can claim Green Mind and after are the best Dinosaur Jr. albums if you didn’t have this? I hope you had it on tape or something.

You really have it out for me today man! why Ihe hostility?

Dinosaur Jr. is very hard to find around here, incredibly hard infact. And I do have Bug, which predates Green Mind. Furthermore, Just because I don’t own an album doesn’t mean that I haven’t heard anything off of it. I’m sorry man, but Dino is better when J brings in the strings and shit.

I’m just messin’ with ya, Malc. It’s all fun and games. But seriously, while I’m sure it sucks to live somewhere that has really shitty cd choices, you can’t use that as an excuse anymore. Obviously you have access to the internet. There are hundreds of places to buy used and new cds, including titles like YLAOM. If you don’t trust the internet or don’t have a credit card, you most likely can still do old fashion mail order through SST. That’s how I got my copy of YLAOM back in high school.

I don’t trust the internet, I don’t even like to order shit through record stores. I just buy CD’s impulsivly. That may change now that I’ve found out that "music from the Adventures of Pete and Pete" is still imprint. But for now, this is how things are.

I also get really backlogged on my "cd’s to buy" list, too many good bands out there.
