Lots of cool stuff from Norway these days: Kaisers Orchestra, Saint Thomas, Midnight Choir, Salvatore, the White Birch and now Sergeant Petter…..
October 27, 2003 at 5:57 pm #96392Cool. You should check out Minor Majority(great), Reverend Lovejoy(great), Thomas Dybdahl, Frode Fivel(great), Hello Goodbye(this is great!!)
St Thomas is awesome. Could write page upon page about him, the ups and downs, etc.
You can never go wrong with Midnight Choir. A bottle of wine. Snow outside. Pretty girl. Recipe for a great evening.
Kaizers is Kaizers, and thank god for that.
Oh, and also Madrugada! Especially Industrial Silence, though they’re all good.Pluss lots others that I can’t dig out from my foggy brain right now.

Mike Watt – Contemplating the engine room
v /a – Wild Dub (dread meets punk-rocker downtown)October 29, 2003 at 3:31 pm #96394db, how is the twilight singers album? i’m a big greg dulli fan, but i haven’t heard it yet….
October 29, 2003 at 6:15 pm #96395Wireland, the Twilight Singers new album is highly recommended! Gone (well, nearly gone…) are the triphoppy beats of the last TS album, it’s a more dark, rocking return to Afghan Whigs territory, with some hints of Nick Cave or Gavin Friday (remember him?…..) The opening words say it all: "Black out the windows/It’s party time"….
One more quote: "Are you ready for the motherfucking ride of your life??"
October 29, 2003 at 6:59 pm #96396ahhhhhhh…that’s good news db
. i wasn’t too crazy about "twilight as played by…" but i knew dulli still had some rockin’ left in him. i’ll have to put the new one on my wish list…..October 29, 2003 at 7:00 pm #96397"dB stands for den Buck" wrote:Are you ready for the motherfucking ride of your life??yes please
