Robert: Yes, he is kind of arrested at the moment, but im not sure what kind of doom he is about to get… There was a funny "afternoon paper cover" where Matti looked really angry and yelled "leave me alone, im innocent"… Hahah…

Bought the October issue of MOJO magazine, comes with a free ‘Radio Clash’ cd (more details & audio clips here) 8)

                      Quote:
MOJO is proud to present Radio Clash – a 15-track collection of tunes that echo the spirit of ’79 as well as the wider world of The Clash.

A number of the tracks included on this collection have been selected by bassist Paul Simonon and guitarist Mick Jones, others are rarities, influences or associated with the band. We are also proud to include an exclusive unreleased Joe Strummer track

btw, how do you keep track of which cd’s is what number in the changer? That would’ve freaked me out.

that sounds like a good plan. and probably a necessity(sp?) when the player holds 300 cd’s.

                                some vinyl I bought today:
J Mascis – Martin & Me, I allready have this, but when I saw it I new I needed one in backup.
The new Libertines, I allmost didn’t want to like this record, but it’s great.
Pixies – Come on Pilgrim, Doolittle, Surferosa, excellent that these babies have been reprinted on vinyl. And it’s a job well done as well.
                                Pavement – Stereo 7"
Bobby Bare Jr – From The End Of Your Leash, a wonderfull record in the same league as Oldham, Ryan Adams, but without the selfpity and melancholy.
Nouvelle Vague – s/t, a great french album, released on Peacefrog. It’s a lot of of new wave hits, recorded in bossa nova. Too Drunk To Fuck is pure heaven!

Dock Boggs-His Folkways Recordings:1963-68(2 cd set,he recorded back in the `20s until his career was snuffed out by the depression, regarded as one of the strangest of southern musicians, kinda like the Will Oldham of his day.He was rediscovered in the `60s and cut 3 albums for Folkways, which is the material here. Not as strange as his `20s stuff but still cool,he plays a mean banjo! :P there`s this one song I just listened to and all he sings about is guys getting shot  it`s like gangsta rap played on a banjo  :!: )
Mills Brothers-1930`s Recordings(5 cd set,on the great JSP label that puts out excellent box sets of old music;the Mills Bros were a accapella quartet with guitar in the pre swing/swing era that could emulate trumpet and tuba sounds with their voice;Louis Armstrong,Cab Calloway,Ella Fitzgerald, and Bing Crosby guest.Great swingin stuff 8)
