      That’s how I’m feeling this morning. We had to leave the house at 7AM to take my daughter to the family bakery. It’s 27 degrees outside and we have had a few weeks in a row of this…..we have all reached the end. I forced my daughter to eat a little breakfast so she wasn’t tempted to eat sweets at the bakery….you know like chocolate icing or lemon filling on a spoon. While sitting in the car waiting to leave she said "It’s so cold, I think I’m going to throw up" and she ran inside. We have all decided if God doesn’t give us a White Christmas than we have been majorly gypped. It’s so cold we have to set our alarm to wake up around 3am to load the fire other wise we couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. It’s so cold that the dogs were in bed this morning with the little guy on each side of him (he just moved out of our bed this fall) the dogs usually sleep on a blanket right in front of the fire….but since he loves to kick off his blankets, they seemed to know it was a least a "two dog night" for him. I guess what I’m trying to say is….it’s so cold I just might die unless I get down to Florida in the next few weeks. I just thought I would take the time to complain. Other than that….What a wonderful time of the year. The economy is sucking so bad, I’m a praying we all get down to the real meaning of Christmas. Allowing room for a Christ to be born inside every heart. So many times folks don’t have the room or the time to work on their Christ nature…..and if they finally make room or time, worldly ambitions and struggles soon take over and kill the light. Christmas crap now showing up in the Grocery stores the day after Halloween. Walmart has become "your Christmas center" if we don’t wake up to our Christ/light the whole world could become so cold that death would be a better option. My son asked me "why did you bring us into this world knowing all of it’s struggles" my answer…."uhhh, I wanted to have a baby and I didn’t think the whole thing through" than "no, no, I brought you here because this world needs more light and each of us have the potential to be that but just like a video game….watch out…..the 7 deadly’s are light killers. Pride, envy, greed, sloth, lust, anger and gluttony and they are so sneaky that they can live inside you and you don’t even know it and you have to whack them down on a daily basis until they die. Not and easy thing to do when you’re so busy…..and especially when you’re so busy just trying to stay warm. I wish I had one of those fancy new houses with a thermostat that you can turn up to like 75, heated floors and wait a minute see how fast one of the 7 deadlys can sneak in. I better just go pray and pack for our trip to Atlanta. Peace Y’all.

        Some say the world will end in fire;
        Some say in ice.
        From what I’ve tasted of desire
        I hold with those who favor fire.
        But if it had to perish twice,
        I think I know enough of hate
        To know that for destruction ice
        Is also great
        And would suffice. (R.Frost)

        My son & I scuba-dived in Skaneateles Lake today. Extreme bonding. Air temp 19; water temp 43. Came out of the water and ice started forming on our dry suits.

        Hope it warms up down your way, Stefka.

          Wow Built, I can’t imagine going into cold water. How does a thin suit like that insulate one from the cold….it just seems like it couldn’t work that well, what ever the material. Several years ago, we went to some exhibit with the kids that was a cold water tank in which you could stick your arm into in order to get an idea of the temperature of the water at the time of the Titanic sinking. I was able to keep my arm in about 20 seconds. Well, yesterday got up to 69 degrees…that’s a perfect "winter" day for us. I spent a few winters in Rochester, NY and I humor the children with tales of winter y weather that they believe are exaggerations. Like living in an apartment complex with hundreds of other students without assigned parking spaces and in the morning after a snow fall, if you didn’t remember exactly where you parked you would have to remove the snow off of vehicles that were the same shape and size of yours and look for the color to see if was yours, If it was the correct color you had to spend a few minutes getting the snow and ice off of the windshield in order to drive. Car doors that get frozen shut and once while driving on the highway out of nowhere a snow fall became a white out and I was not able to see anything….nothing….I crawled the vehicle along the highway following the tail lights in front of me until we found an exit. Today we have warm air from the gulf mixing in with cold air from up North right over us. The high today about 65 but…… on the way to school this AM, the sky was a shocking pink and purple. As they say, Red in the morning….sailors warning. Now at 11:30 we have thunder, lightning and a deluge of rain. Tornado watch until 3PM. If you are in New York then you are getting water from the same storm system but I imagine it’s going to be frozen. Oh, today is the 10th of December, the birthday of a special Freakscener!!!!! Stay warm….and good gracious I can’t believe you and your son went into water like that for fun. WOW…unbelievable but interesting. :D

            Pish! I just moved to Chicago from Pasadena, CA — where it was in the 70s when I left two weeks ago — and yesterday and today I think we had a high of 4. Yes, *4* degrees, with a low around -6. When it’s in the 20s here it feels balmy.
